Sideshow Edition Size Update
 
Sideshow Collectibles has announced the final worldwide edition sizes for two of their Star Wars products. The Duel of the Fates diorama has been set at 1250 pieces worldwide, while the Palpatine life-size bust edition size has been set at 750 pieces worldwide.

We reported back in October of 2005 that Spike TV had secured the rights to the Star Wars Saga on network television, and this seems to be coming to life now. Spike has been airing simple sound-effect commercials lately with an April 2008 date, so it seems that we'll have Star Wars on network TV soon!

GenCon Files for Chapter 11 Protection
Shortly before Toy Fair, it was revealed that Lucasfilm was sueing GenCon over some outstanding issues from Celebration IV. Now, it appears that GenCon has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection due to "significant unforeseen expenses" from their attempts to cover "externally licensed events". One has to wonder how all this will affect any potential plans for a possible Celebration V.

Gentle Giant Lt. Renz Mini-Bust Announced
In case you missed it amid the Toy Fair news bonanza, Gentle Giant announced plans for a Lt. Renz Mini-Bust. The piece will be the first Gentle Giant mini-bust with a sound chip, allowing Lt. Renz to speak his famous "You Rebel Scum" quote. The mini-bust will also come with an autograph card signed by Barrie Holland, the actor who played the role.

Our Toy Fair coverage rolls on today with an update from Sideshow Collectibles. In anticipation for the new Clone Wars series Sideshow has made the Medicom RAH Clone Trooper from Attack of the Clones available. New Lines Coming From Diamond Select Toys

Captain Rex Revealed?
The Official Site updated it's blog over the weekend with news about UK Toy Fair and a rumor may have had some light shed upon it unknowingly! A clone in an upcoming Lego set is listed as "Rex" on the packaging and talk is swirling that this character may be the previously rumored Clone Wars Mail-Away Promo Figure. Nothing is confirmed, but it's an odd coincidence, isn't it?

2008 Wave 3 Delayed Until Fall
Hasbro has passed along word that there will only be two waves of 30th Anniversary basic figures this Spring - the RotS based Wave 1 (in stores now) and the Force Unleashed based Wave 2 (due in March). The third wave of figures (along with some comic packs) has been delayed until Fall.
