OTC Figure DVD Packs
 
Showing up on eBay is a new multipack of figures not seen or announced before. It appears to be a 4-pack of Luke, Ben, R2-D2 and C-3PO in DVD Commerative packaging. Shown on the back of the package are two other sets for ESB (Bespin Han, Leia and Chewie) and ROTJ (Emperor, Stormtrooper and Darth Vader). Might the respective DVD be included with each set of these figures? Who knows, but one thing's for sure - the repacks continue!

Star Wars Plush toys were originally released around the time of Episode I. They appear to be making a comeback as part of the Original Trilogy Collection as shown above. Hasbro has not announced these yet but they look like the real deal. Thanks to gtr430s for the images.

OTC Cards
 
Anyone else notice that the symbol colors on the Original Trilogy Packaging have been reversed. For years the Rebel Alliance symbol and colors have been red while the Empire symbols were blue (with the exception of the Imperial Navy). Hasbro has decided to switch that and make the Rebels blue and the Empire Red. To quote a Jedi Master... "Curious".

New eBay seller gtr430s has some nice shots of the upcoming TRU exclusive Jedi Council Screen Scene sets, including Ki-Adi Mundi, Yoda, and Qui-Gon Jinn in Set 1, and Eeth Koth, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Plo-Koon in Set 2. You can check out his auction right here. The highlight of this is that it appears the center flooring section of the Jedi Council will now be included! Look for these sets to start hitting retail in the next month or so...

OTC Dagobah Luke Variant?
 
Action-HQ has posted some carded shots of the first wave of Original Trilogy Collection figures. Note the carded Dagobah Luke figure which first showed up at Lee's a week or so ago (shown above) is different than the Luke shown at Action-HQ. Could we have our first OTC variant? Read on for more speculation!
UPDATE: Both sets of limbs and heads will be included with each carded version of Luke.

Ephant Mon... The Return?
Not a confirmation that he's reshipping, but a possibility. In my local area, the big ugly lug has been spotted at Toys R Us stores no less than 3 times at 3 separate stores.
Could it be a reship, or old warehouse stock? Likely the latter, but it's good news irregardless for those who've searched for him (I know one local guy didn't have him yet and lucked into finding him). So all hope may not be lost, and check those Toys R Us stores near you. It may be worth your while.

LucasArts and E3... Worth A Look
Check out Lucasarts.com website for a doozy of a showing from the recent E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo). LA unveiled some nice eyecandy with screenshots and trailers for Star Wars: Battlefront, Star Wars: Galaxies, Jump to Light Speed, Republic Commando, and Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords.
Check out the trailer for Republic Commando in particular. That's something new to Star Wars!

Last rumor of the week here. We've received word at JD HQ that there may be a 12" 2-1B and Lobot at least in the planning stages. The 12" line in general seems to be in a ton of trouble, so these might not ever see the light of retail shelves near you. Missing Figures Part 5: Episode I Pod Racers
George Lucas has been fascinated with racing and speed since his youth. He got to take that fascination up a notch in Episode I when he brought us the Pod Race where young Anakin wins his freedom from the clutches of Watto by winning the race.
So far 5 Pod Racers have been made: Anakin, Sebulba, Gasgano, Ody Mandrell and Teemto Pagalies. Presented here left to right are the first 5 missing figures...R1: Neva Kee, Elan Mak and Mawhonic and R2: Boles Roor and Ark "Bumpy" Roose. Rumors are swirling right now that the often talked and stuck in limbo Sandcrawler may yet be coming to the market.
