Wave 1 Screen Scenes...Out Now!!
UPDATE: Yours truly just returned from a toy run where I picked up the Jedi Council Screen Scene at the local Target in Saint Paul, MN. Target is in the middle of their Holiday resets and are starting to put out product. So keep checking those Targets!
A good tip that product is about to hit retail in the US is when overseas auctions start showing up. eBay seller amidala-anakin has several auctions listed for the first two Saga Screen Scenes the Geonosian War Room and the Jedi Council. Keep those eyes peeled!

Where is Wave 13?
The Internet is abuzz with news that Hasbro has canceled all outstanding pre-orders from etailers for the latest Collection 2 Wave. This includes the first releases of Wat Tambor, Padme Wedding, Coleman Trebor and the second release of the Yoda and Padawans and Aayla Secura group of figures.
The word from Hasbro is this is due to SARS in Hong Kong, but didn't they just say at Comic Con it was because of retailers not ordering product? Something is screwy in Rhode Island.

Wizard World Woes?
Rumor has it that only 100 Gentle Giant Blue Clone Trooper mini busts will be making their way to Wizard World in Chicago in August! Reports, albeit second hand, site mishandling and failure to punch badges to track sales during the "sneak preview" night at the San Diego Comic Con.
Meanwhile, most of us were under the impression that the 1,000 busts were to be distributed equally between the two shows. No official word yet to confirm or deny said rumors. However, WizardWorldStore still makes no mention of the mini bust whatsoever. Stay tuned for updates!

Reporter on-the-street Matt Colman just got out of the Hasbro Q&A at the Rain Drenched Comic Con this is what he has new to say!
The Clone Wars line will be discontinued after this year. Additionally, Clone Wars items are not going to be sold at Wal-Mart! We are told that eBay will be where Jedi Master Points are redeemed, details are still be worked out. There is again only one line of figures next year (Saga) and there will be 1 Wave Per Month with 3-4 figures (Includes Deluxe) per wave. And as reported earlier...
Wave 1 Hoth (Wampa, Hoth Luke)
Wave 2 Tatooine (Jedi Luke)
Wave 3 Jabba's Palace w/ Jabba (In Insider #71)

Jedi Master Points Use Revealed + New Figures!
Hasbro has just revealed the use for the Jedi Master points. Hasbro Star Wars will be holding a series of auctions for items such as Jorg Sacul, Toy Fair Vader, and the Silver R2-D2 to be bidded on with Jedi Master Points. The initial program is to be a trial of 3 months. Hasbro says that this may be your only chance to ever use your points, so there is no need to save them after this!
Also in this news release is a list of new action figures to be released in 2004. Each new Wave of figures will have a theme. Click for more!

Hasbro will be unveiling some new action figures at the San Diego Comic Con. Mark Hamill Signing @ San Diego Comic Con
Mark Hamill will be signing authograpghs in a Warner Brothers session at the San Diego Comic Con on Saturday, July 19, 2003 from 1:30- 3:30 PM. Mark Hamill is best known for his role as Luke Skywalker in Star Wars Saga and as the voice of the "Joker" in Batman the animated series. Several other voices from the Batman series will be there signing as well.
Update: To clarify, this session will be for Batman related items, not Star Wars.

New Figures Showing Up Across the Country!
Reports have come in over the last couple days from around the country of new figure finds galore, including the Coleman Trebor, Wat Tambor, and Wedding Padme wave (and "new" rehashes), as well as new 12" finds including Jedi Luke, Yoda, Ewoks, and Biker Scout! Some of these new figures have even been found at Toys 'R' Us, a store which had yet to participate in any new Star Wars retail items this year, outside of it's exclusive 4-pack.
Last week also saw new figure releases of the ROTJ Vader, Jedi Luke, Snowtrooper and the rest of the "rehashes" on the new cards, as well as some Clone Wars 3-packs and ships. So it looks like it's time to hit the pavement folks, and start your hunting again! Star Wars is finally beginning to show a little life again, after a long, hard year so far.
