Saga Leia Variant
 
Up on eBay right now is a new Saga Leia Variant provided by overlord307. The variant lies in the gun packaged with Leia, instead of the original gun shown on the left, Leia is packaged with a normal Imperial Blaster shown on the right. Sounds like this was done early in the production. JediDefender is always interested in hearing about new variants so we can update our Checklists.

Ebay super seller mimidog4428 comes through with the first ever pix of the new "Animated/Cartoon" Clone Wars action figures! Included in the first batch of figures for this Target exclusive line appears to be Anakin, Asajj Ventress, Mace and Obi-Wan. No word yet on which, if any, other figures might follow. Definitely a different look than Hasbro's standard line of Clone Wars figures we've already seen at retail, but a pretty spiffy looking one at that... With the DVD's coming in a few short weeks (finally) and a new movie said to be in the works Indy-mania seems to be bubbling slightly. Jabba the Hutt
Our friends at Galactic Hunter posted a picture this weekend of the upcoming Saga Jabba the Hutt here. This picture looks like it is a repaint of the Jabba Glob version and fits in with what JD forum member Jimmy said a few months back in our Saga forums. A detailed picture of the new Jabba will debut in the Insider Issue #71, which should be out within the next week or two. So stay tuned for further information.

Reader "Jedimaster-c" informs JediDefender of a very strange assortment of item listings at Amazon.com. It seems as if Amazon has listed 3 different sets of vintage figures, the first assortment being called Bespin Set including Han Solo, Chewbacca, Lando Calrissian, Lobot, and Stormtrooper. Next up, we have the Good Guys Collection. This set includes Luke Skywalker, C-3PO and R2-D2, and Hoth Soldier. The last of these interesting listings is the Bounty Hunter set, with no description of the items in the set being given. We will be sure to keep you updated on this strange event.

JD forum member Virex alerts us to this rather intriguing rumor concerning the Original Trilogy on DVD. TheDigitalBits.com is reporting that a late 2004 release of the Trilogy may be in the works to coincide with the hype surrounding the Episode III release in 2005. "The Battle of Hoth" 4-Pack Found at TRU
My wife called me today saying she had found "The Battle of Hoth" 4-pack at our local Toys 'R Us, and asked me if I wanted her to buy it for me. Of course I said, "Yeah, get it!" I was so excited about her coming home with this. She came home, I took it out of the bag, and I can tell you this is one cool 4-pack well worth the money. However, make sure you check out Princess Leia... she doesn't look quite right to me.

Cantina Wave 2 Sets
Wave 2 of the Cantina Sets are still in limbo even though some pieces were made. eBay seller overlord307 has some loose, carded and used to be carded sets up for auction. If you must have these, eBay may be the way to go. Hasbro has said they are working on bringing these to market, hopefully in 2004 but possibly 2005. Loose sets also show up from time to time.
