
Episode III Rolls Through The Weekend
Revenge of the Sith just keeps rolling right along making money left and right, but to show just how much this film made, take a look at some of these facts:
-Star Wars has sold an average of 8 tickets per second on Fandango.com.
-Fox Studio Exit Surveys say that the film was being attended by 58% men, 42% women, and with nearly half the viewers under the age of 25.
-Episode III also grossed $144.7 million overseas for a $303 million worldwide total.
-Ticket sales estimated for the top 10 films this weekend showed just how distant the gap was between Star Wars and its "competition". Estimated ticket sales for Friday through Sunday at North American theaters, according to Exhibitor Relations Co. Inc.:
1. Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, $108.5 million 2. Monster-in-Law, $14.4 million 3. Kicking & Screaming, $10.5 million 4. Crash, $5.5 million 5. Unleashed, $3.8 million 6.
