Custom Chop Shop Wrap-Up
The all-new Custom Chop Shop Wrap-Up is in its infancy here at JediDefender.com, but we think that just means we’ve got some depth to work with when highlighting the world of custom Star Wars creations here on our forums. To kick off this feature though, we felt we'd cover some items that really embody the greater customizing hobby for people to get a taste of what is out there in this very challenging (and rewarding) aspect to collecting.
From the routinely great figures to the unique and detailed diorama/playset pieces, each piece posted is hand-picked and we hope you enjoy checking these creations out as much as we did. The Wrap-Up is here to inform people about the customizing hobby as well though, and we’ll highlight news in the customizing world like updates at the Forgotten Force Users Resource Guide (FFURG), or news on the latest and largest projects going on in the world of customizing!
The clone craze of 2005 lives on, even at the end now at the end of 2006. Forum member Darth Nirvana continues to produce some of the best custom clones around. His newest clones belong to the 84th Communications Corps. The clones feature Nirvana’s trademarked weathering technique, a plethora of gear pouches, and even some custom guns. The clones are photographed in front of a really nice looking snowy diorama. They are definitely worth a peek.
For our second figure we take a look at forum member Mitsukara’s New Republic Era Jedi Master Luke Skywalker This custom gets all the fancy treatment, from super articulation to a nice softgoods robe. Luke has a nice custom saber as well. Click on through to check out Luke and let Mitsukara know what you think!
Looking now towards the photonovel section we come to the latest update to forum member Swede’s series, Old Friends. The series follows some of the adventures of Luke Skywalker and Han Solo. The pair get into it with a bunch of Imperial Stormtroopers as a certain bounty hunter shadows them. Old Friends makes for an entertaining read, be sure to head on over and check it out!
