Hasbro Q&A - Round 78

Hasbro has sent us their answers from the latest round of Q&A. Read on for the full details!

    1) Why do you keep sculpting new heads for certain characters when you have really good likenesses already made? Can't you simply re-use existing head sculpts for some characters instead of creating new ones constantly? (example - that Resurgence of the Jedi Luke head would be great on a new Ceremonial Luke)

    1) It's not that easy. There are two reasons. First, since we don't use a consistent figure buck, each figure in our library has differences that may preclude heads being used with every other body. We have been trying to address this for some troopers, by specifying a universal neck post size, but overall our library is not aligned to a standard size. Second, we have several different factories so our figures are scattered across these, preventing us from being as flexible as we'd like to switch parts.

    2) Is the Jedi Mickey Mouse & R2-MK 2-pack planned for April the 2010 Star Tours exclusive that you teased in a previous Q&A or can we still expect some sort of "non-droid" figure set this year?

    2) That figure pack is produced by Disney, not us. There is another pack in the works which we'll reveal at Toy Fair.

As always, a big thanks to Hasbro for their answers, and we look forward to the next round!
