Hasbro Star Wars Q&A - Round 84
Hasbro has sent us their answers from the latest round of Q&A. Read on for the full details!
1) A question on the Clone Trooper in the Vintage Collection RotS wave - which sculpt is that? In a previous Q&A, you said he would be a simple "greatest hits" repack but I don't think it was ever confirmed which sculpt was going to be used for the Vintage line release.
1) We are using the ball-and-socket hip version from the Gelagrub pack.
2) We've been running a feature at JD called "Collect All 92!", which
compares vintage figures to their modern counterparts, and recently it brought something to our attention regarding the Vintage Power Droid. There really currently isn't a figure that sports the blue deco the Power Droid was seemingly based on, though there are two seen in A New Hope (One in Mos Eisley, and one at the Lars Farm). So our question is: Are you considering a Power Droid update and doing either the Lars Family Gonk Droid, or the Mos Eisley streets Gonk? These seem like some cool choices to fill a future droid slot in the modern line, if you're not already looking at them!
2) We've been thinking along the same lines, and the blue Gonk is a variation that we've been keeping our eye on for a future update. Right now he (she?) is not slotted into the Vintage line through the end of 2011 but would be a great addition as the line continues on. Thanks for the suggestion. By the way - "Collect all 92!" is a great idea for a feature. Congrats!
