JediDefender.com is proud to present Jeff Smentek as our
candidate for the 2006 Fan Club Presidency!
Jeff has been a fan of Star Wars and collecting for over a decade and has
been contributing to the online world for almost as long with his dedication and
hard work on the former Trade Federation site and now as the webmaster of
JediDefender.
So here is the deal: StarWars.com is having a
contest. Whoever gets the most people to sign up for or renew their
Hyperspace subscription under their e-mail address wins the "election".
How do you support our candidate? Well, simply follow this
link to subscribe to Hyperspace, or renew your current subscription. After you purchase your subscription you will receive an e-mail with a "Digital Access Code" that is used to create or renew your subscription. In the e-mail there will be a link to the page on
StarWars.com for managing your subscription. Load the page in your browser and
then enter the code and use
jsmentek@jedidefender.com as your referring e-mail address (If you renew, the page that you input the renewal code in also has a box to input Jeff's e-mail address). That's it.
In
addition to your subscription you can also use the banners and avatars below to show
your support and to rally others to our cause. You can track the current results of the "election" here.

A special running mate. It is also my honor to announce that
Willrow Hood will be the running mate of Jeff Smentek for this presidential
election. Mr. Hood is distinguished by his famous role in Empire Strikes Back
as the Ice Cream Maker guy. His background as well as official site can
be found here.

What's in it for you? Well, with Jeff as President you would be able
to have your voices finally heard. Jeff can and will let the execs at Lucasfilm
know just how much the current fan club and Hyperspace subscriptions really do
SUCK (kinda ironic we're trying to get you to sign up, eh?). JediDefender is
renowned for our relentless hounding that has always made the opinions of us and our readers well known. Having Jeff work directly with the people who can make
these changes means that you will finally get what you pay for. This fan club
could really be a great thing if done properly and we fully endorse Jeff Smentek
as President of the official Star Wars fan club.
In addition, we might have a give away or two. You never know...
Thanks,
Chris Berry
