I saw the picture of the Tarkin bust, and for a few seconds I honestly thought we were getting a new Tarkin figure. Definitely made me realize that we need a new sculpt of this ANH main character.

Tarkin is definately one of the finest looking busts I've seen for some time. The clones were much better looking, from a certain point of view... but I'm a clone fan. I'd pick up the Tarkin if I could, but I don't got the money.

Can we actually have this in the SAGA section? I wasn't trying to discuss the Tarkin bust , but rather how much we need a new Tarkin figure.

Although I mentioned the bust, I had originally mistaken it for a new Tarkin figure, which is why I started the thread.

I got really excited...then was horribly disappointed.  I think it cool they are doing this bust though...with all of the cool Screen Scene ideas that you guys have come up with, the coolest one is the Tarkin and crew Death Star Table with Tagge, Vader, Motti and Yularen, I'd pay beaucoup for one!

Really sorry about that Lando, was carrying on a conversation with my buddy and typing/reading at the same time. Thanks for not blowing a fuse on me, mild misunderstanding.  :-*

I'd definately love to see new Tarkin, at proper scale (since Tarkin was pretty tall), for a number of reasons. For one, I could use the old Tarkin's I have (2x) for custom fodder.

I've been itching for a new Tarkin for ages too.  He's in my top 3 resculpt list.  A Screen Scene figure perhaps (He with a Bast and new Leia figure maybe?)

I'm not into those busts, but if I can I'm nabbing that one.  It's too good to pass up.  They even gave him a shirt underneath his uniform!  Nice detail...  

Hmmm, now I wanna make a custom Imperial Officer "at ease" with his uniform jacket off and a white dress shirt on from underneath.  Interesting and obscure custom for shizzle.

I'd love to see a new Tarkin as well as a few other Imperial Officers. I would love a screne scene as long as the detail  was better than say uncle owen.

I've heard a lot of support for quite a while from the collecting community for a Tarkin resculpt, but for some reason the POTF2 incarnation of him doesn't bother me too much really.  Sure his uniform was rather oddly shaped in places (legs), but all in all, I'm fairly pleased with it.  Don't get me wrong though, I certainly wouldn't mind a nicer resculpt of him by any means...  But there are just a few other figures that I think were really bad the first time around that warrant a resculpt much more than Tarkin - like Uncle Owen, R5-D4, Dr. Evezan, and Lobot, just to name a few.  But I'll take a Tarkin (or 10 if it's good for customizing) if he gets redone!

On a separate, but related note -  way back in the early 90's, when I was collecting a lot of high-end custom figures based on the Vintage line (before the new modern line was ever even a thought), I picked up a beautiful Tarkin figure.  Real nice face, with the chiseled in cheeks and reseding hairline.  It's actually quite a bit nicer than the POTF2 version that was officially released years later...

I'd honestly prefer to just get a standard, no name, run-of-the-mill, TUNICED Imperial Officer (no more jumpsuits)!  Now THAT would make me a happy fella...   8)
