Anyone else HATE the new version of Internet Explorer? I've never had so many problems with it locking up and crashing since I upgraded to version 7. >:(
I was considering uninstalling in and returning to version 6, but that seems to be an even bigger headache when I started looking into it. Or maybe use my other browser more, Opera.

My desktop computer automatically upgraded to IE 7 the other day.
I haven't had the problems of it locking up, but I do not like the way the navigation and toolbars are set up. I don't understand why they had to change the look of them so much.

So what you are saying is stick with 6? :)
-
Really? I wonder if that's why my PC at home was running so slow yesterday.

I have had no problems with it running Ryan, I'm just not fond of the button configuration.
Us older people are resistant to change. ;)

I've never been a big fan of tabbed browsing but after using it for a couple weeks I'm getting used to it. I haven't had any performance problems with they system in general but it has locked up and crashed (not the whole system though) at least twice since 11/7...IE6 didn't crash twice in the previous 6 months.
I don't care for the button placement either. The refresh and stop buttons are just oddly placed. They should be next to the back/forward buttons IMO.
I haven't spent a lot of time with it yet to see if any of that stuff is customizable but I'm thinking probably not. Microsoft doesn't seem to build in that level of user friendly customization.
But, if you guys don't like the interface in IE7, wait till you see Vista!!

I agree.

I use Mozilla Firefox too. It is very well designed and prefer it to IE. It has a better way to clean up cookies and history. ;) And is more stable

I was warned ahead of time by a tech guy at work not to download the update. I guess it would have reeked havoc with the software we run in the office so I figured I wouldn't take the chance at home either.
My son runs Modzilla (or Firefox or whatever it is called) and can't understand why I won't change but I've always been comfortable with IE. It's hard to change when you get use to something but maybe when he comes home for Christmas, I'll give it a try.

jkno: Awesome smilie. ;D
Beth: Don't worry, it's very similar to IE, only way cleaner and easier to use once you get the hang of it. And it didn't take me long at all to get used to.

Same here. I guess I'll get used to it, but the toolbars seemed to be changed around just because.

My computer was upgraded to IE7 last night. I have not having a refresh or a stop button, and the new layout is wierd.
-
The Explorer 7 tried to upgrade intto my PC too, but I cancelled it. So there are no Stop or Refresh buttons? ???
-
Well, there are, but it took me like 2 days to find them. They look different. I'm kind of warming up to it, but I would have rather stuck with IE6 or whatever I had...
-
I just upgraded to this, why I have no idea. I don't like the set up but it's functionality is the same as always. I really wish I hadn't upgraded...
