Idiots like this should be locked up, saying he'd do it again is just ludicrous, His mother should also be charged with supplying drinks to a minor!

That's just a reporter's line.  Of course he's going to face charges, once that investigation that is mentioned one sentence earlier is completed.

I had the pleasure of driving around New Zealand a few months ago, and if there's one thing I noticed it was that there were traffic police everywhere, and it seemed like pretty much everyone drove safely.

This dumbass is a Darwin award waiting to happen.  Unfortunately, he'll probably hurt or kill others when it happens.

And that's the problem!! Hell if he wanted to drive drunk and kill himself, survival of the fittest!! But the unfortunate fact is that he'll probably take someone with him. Or worse yet, kill someone but he survives! The Auckland police hopefully will put his irresponsible ass behind bars, as well as his negligible mother!
