I am unable to access Jedi Defender from my office and I was just curious as to why. Somehow, the IT department has set up in their software to block access to certain websites and for some inane reason Jedi Defender is one of them. I can access starwars.com, galactichunter.com, Sideshow, Gentle Giant and even Rebelscum but not JD. I can access all the online stores ( ie: amazon, best buy, Hasbro, Macy's etc..) also. The error message I get states something to the effect that this is a "hobby" website. Is it the way JD's ID reads when I try to access it? It sucks since I can't surf the forums like I use to and I am tempted to find someone in IT to clear my access but figured I'll wait until someone here can explain why....
Thanks!

Hmmm, not sure on that one... I've heard of some reasons why Rebelscum is blocked at times, having to do with their name, but from the message you got it seems like JD was singled out almost... Hmmm.
Hopefully Chris will notice this and pop up with a better answer than I have, or Jeff perhaps. They're the smart ones around here. ;)

Different filters run in different ways and we could have been ID'd for a large number of reasons. Most of it all just has to do with mathematical matches or the like. The only thing I can suggest is bringing it up with you IT dept. because they are the only ones that can take care of it for you at work, we couldn't change anything here.

Thanks Chris.

It's quite obvious that Philip Wise in collusion with Jim Ward have some sort of deal with your IT department and has JD blocked.
It's all a conspiracy man! ;D

I'd say the odd's are pretty good -- perhaps 20:1? ;)

50:1 they closed it because they got too many hits reported on you visiting here compared with those other sites. Just be sure to justify with IT why you need to visit the site, I'm sure that will work :P ;).

Didn't you guys know about the secret JD Porn Forum? It's not work-safe, to say the least.
