212th Attack Battalion: Utapau Clone Trooper 12-inch Figure (http://www.sideshowtoy.com/?page_id=5554)

Once they get this one out there, I'm sure it won't be long before the sea of repaints begins... :P
-
Probably...but it would be neat if they all come with different exclusives.
-
Just as my wallet was recovering from the sea of CW stuff. I wonder when the preorder will be.
-
I think i am going to pass on the sea of clone repaints. I think this is a pass for me.
-
I think that clone looks really great. I don't think I'll be ordering them. I might get one of the repaints but I can't afford to get them all. I think I'd hold out for a 501st or Shocktrooper.
-
As good as it is I will pass on it in favor of Cmdr Cody. I probably will get Cody, Shocktrooper, Gree and a 501st. That may be it for my 12 inch clone purchases.

I swore up and down that I wouldn't get another 12" SW figure unless someone did a 12" 212th/Utapau Trooper (as it's inexplicably my favorite color scheme), so I guess I'll be biting on this, and only this.
Quick question, though: As a layman in terms of Sideshow's 12" line, my (possibly/hopefully mistaken) interpretation is that you have to sign up on a list and/or commit acts of internet violence to even get the chance to purchase one of their 12" figures, and even then, a lot of people don't even manage to get them. My question is this: What am I going to have to do to be able to get just one of these Utapau Troopers, since I'm a first-time Sideshow customer and don't know any better?
-
As still a relative newcomer to the Sideshow scene, I've not had a problem getting one when I wanted it. I had to sit on a wait list for General Kenobi but I still got converted to an order long ago.

To be eligible for the pre-order, you have to sign up for their e-mail newsletter NLT the day before the pre-order. The violence is strictly voluntary. :D
I've ordered three through them and had no problems.

Pre-orders are up for this... $90 :o The exclusive version includes a special display stand.
Boy, am I glad I quit this line a few figures in. :-\
-
Yeah, $90 is just too much... I may pick up a couple of the military guys later but I think I'm at the point that, even if I had a large lump of cash to drop on these, I'd probably stick to OT only. The sheer # of Clones they can do means none of these Clones should be $90... You KNOW they're gonna make their investment back on the Clones so it's really disappointing that they're pushing off at $90.
A Stormtrooper I'd buy... Other OT armored guys I'd buy... The PT could just rape collectors again and again though.
-
You just know the inevitable repaints are coming, so I'm passing on this one (a first for Sideshow with me). Too much money and not enough room. Much like Kubricks and the animated maquettes, I think I'm going to go strictly OT with these from now on. There are a few PT characters I'd want - Dooku being the main one - that I'll probably pick up if and when he's announced.
-
$90 = no thanks. >:(
-
Stood strong and passed. Thats 2 in a row now.
-
Good for all of you.
