Looks like we're getting some old sets again, but in different packaging. ::)

I love their army building sets...  Very quality little pieces.

And while I've not bought a Lego in a while, I admit I'll likely cave on that TIE Defender...  Outstanding that they're producing it.

Very nice items...  I should've nabbed some of the Fleet Trooper sets when I had the chance.  I'd like a RFT just to chill on my desk.

Just an FYI. I didn't look at the price (sorry), I imagine it was 30% off, but I noticed that Target has some of the Indy sets on clearance now.

That Hoth Snowtrooper pack looks awesome.  I'll have to pick up a few of those.  I hope these hit retail in December like previous 2010 sometimes do.

These should be hitting stores right before Christmas.  :)

I can't wait to pick them up. >:D

Jayson, could you confirm that the droid packed in with Plo's fighter is "R4-F5?"  The name of Plo's droid in the tv show is R7-F5, while the droid from the old DF 2-packs was named R4-F5.  The color is odd as well, and doesn't really match either.

One of the reasons I don't collect LEGO any longer... how many versions of Slave I can you have? Same with the Turbo Tank, Gunship, AT-TE, etc.

Thanks for clarifying that Jayson!  If you have access to a much clearer scan of this set, could you tell me if the droid's come has colored panels on it?  I'm thinking there are orange markings on the dome, but due to the dark gray color, can't really tell.

Thanks!

Unfortunately, these are the largest photos that I've found on the web so I guess we'll have to wait for more official imagery.

Yeah, the sets look pretty nice (I like the OT ones in particular).  I still haven't gotten into LEGOs - aside from MINIs (just can't afford it), but I have to admit that they are awfully tempting.  I think I'd have to collect nothing else to be able to have the funds and space for the LEGO line, even if I stuck to OT only.  There sure have been some nice sets lately though, and they include a lot of things that Hasbro can't/won't do in the basic figure line sometimes.

Wow these new sets look amazing!

Too bad I already have the CTT and the Slave 1 though. I already know they're going to cost A LOT so I probably won't get those two. :P

The redo sets are interesting, but a pass for me.  I like the army builder/battlepacks, gotta get that Wampa.  I'm also liking Plo's starfighter, but I'll probably be shocked by the price and pass on it.

I love that new Hoth Wampa Cave set.  As Legos are so expensive I limit what I buy, but I will definitely be picking up that set. I picked up the TIE Defender last Friday and it is great.  I love how the solar panels spin around the cockpit.  If I had got the set with the TIE D fighter I would have all the Lego TIE incarnations.  I get a little frustrated with all the redos of the same sets like Slave 1. I think the last one they made which I have was the best but now they make an even cooler one, but I can't bring myself to buy it again.

Was it really worth the $50-$60 price for 300 bricks  ???  I love the Defender, but not at that price for so few bricks.  Why not wait for a sale?  I don't think I've ever paid full price for any of my LEGO sets.

It will probably be Late July/Early August. The summer wave sets usually get released around SDCC.

I don't think I have ever felt any lego set was worth full retail, but I have resigned myself to that fact so I only buy selected sets that I really want. There are some sets that I will only buy if they go on sale but if I really want it I just buy it knowing legos are expensive no matter what.  Price never correlates to how many pieces you get and SW sets are just more because they are SW and then you have the limited or special edition sets that are more expensive too. . . . .and lego sales are just few and far between so if I paid too much . . . oh well. . . .I will live! :-\

I finally found a reasonably priced 7143 - Obi-Wan's AOTC Starfighter and 7658 OT Y-Wing.  Both sets I've been stalking for a while (also kicking myself for not getting at retail  :-[).

Looking forward to the Plo Koon starfighter and to the Wampa cave sets.

I tried getting two of these at my local TRU and they were limiting them to being free with the purchase of a SW lego and you could only have 1 per customer.  They would not let you buy them outright.  Bummer seeing as how I have 2 kids and needed two...

Lego is evolving in depiction of head styles (the snowtroopers are very accurate, they seem their Kubricks counterpart)
Wampa and speeder bikes are  a nice advance in sculpt too

Lego is profiting the surface of their action figures to paint the differential uniforms, robes, shirts that create a style.

Good work

Great score on the Endor Bunker.  My local Target had the Venator on sale for $83 but the bunker was still fell price when I was there on Friday.  Might have to try to stop by today and see if they have it marked down.

Saw some of the 2010 legos at Target this morning. The wampa set was $39.99, which surprised me a bit. I expected it to be more in the $25 range, but I guess the snowspeeder pushes it up. I passed for now, but will get one eventually.

These are the same silver stormtroopers they were giving away earlier this year.  They are up on the site right now as 'in-stock' but the detailed description states that they are only available as part of a promotion and are not available for individual sale...

I told him he can ring me up for each item and he still said no, I told him to ring my kids up for one of  them still no. I got the Wampa set at Goodwill over the weekend.  I think the local Targets donate items that don't sell at clearance or are damaged by customers to Goodwill as in the past I've seen a number of LEGO sets there, but ones that had been opened.  At first I was going to pass on the set, because I expected that baggies had been opened or were missing.  But box hadn't been resealed/taped, so I could check that all three bags were intact and inside (also the little bag with just the Wampa).  It was missing the instructions, but I found them online.  So I got the $40 set for $20.   :)

Yeah, I've picked up a bunch at Target over the last few years.

I was in KMart the other day with my son.  They've had one of last year's sets on the clearance isle for a month or two (its the one with Han on a TaunTaun, a couple Rebels and two Snowtroopers), but never quite cheap enough where I was willing to bite (I already had the set, but I could use a couple more troops and Luke needs a TaunTaun too...).  So I scanned the price ($15 something...) and my son HAD to have the set.  He's not big into LEGO, so I tried to show him a few other things he might want instead (Imaginext plane or a Megablocks Dora set...), but he had to have the LEGO Star Wars set.

I had a hard time convincing my Wife that it really was my son's decision, but I couldn't help but be proud!

I was at WM today and taking a look at that Landspeeder set that's been tempting me for awhile, and noticed they had another one of those "MIDI" scale sets (like last year's Falcon).  It was a Star Destroyer set, and although I certainly don't follow LEGO super closely, I hadn't heard of it/seen it before.  I was wondering if this and the Falcon were the only two done in this "scale" so far?  I've always wanted to get into the LEGO sets, and really don't have the space or money to get the larger sets, so I thought this scale might be a way to go (especially if there is only one or two a year).  Anyways, I was pretty happy with the Falcon last year, and thought it was nicely done.  Just passing it along for anyone interested (EDIT: it is on Wal-Mart.com (http://www.walmart.com/ip/LEGO-Star-Wars-Mid-Scale-Imperial-Star-Destroyer/14145848)

Correct.  These are the only 2 midi-scale LEGO ships thus far.  I bought the Falcon last year when it was on sale for $25 since I didn't have any other versions of the ship.  I would have picked up this SD on sale for $32 which is normally $40, but I already have the 6211 set, not the big UCS mind you.  My rule with LEGO is to only buy 1 (if any) of any given SW vehicle - no matter the size except for those lil mini bagged sets at Target around Easter or whenever.  Those are always welcome.  Kinda glad I didn't get into this stuff till 07-08...it's really an extra added burden on the collecting dollars, but they make great toys.

My local WM was clearing out their very old LEGO sets and I picked up the Clone Walker battlepack for $5.50.  50% discount is pretty good for WM.

I also bought the motorized AT-AT at the local Goodwill for $35.  I guess it was a donated item, as opposed to overstock from a local store, as the instructions had some wear & tear and a couple pieces were missing.  It didn't have the snowtrooper, General Veers or Speeder-Luke and was missing a piece from a cheek gun and another from one of the feet.  I had similar or exact replacements for both in my loose LEGO collection from when I was little.  I have extra snowtroopers, Lukes and probably Veers from battlepacks, etc. I've picked up other times.

Both of my sons (2&4) LOVE the walking action!  They got such a big kick out of it when I was finally done building the set.  A great way to spend a snow day!
