To continue the nit-pickiness...  :P

- Darth Vader: Emperor's Wrath
- Endor Rebel Soldier (Saga Resculpt)
- Zutton (3rd time is a charm on this character that technically wasn't in the OT but got made in the vintage line)
- POTF2 Regular & Deluxe Hoth Rebel Soldiers (significantly different than what vintage was)
- The blue treadmill droid that came with Aunt Beru
- A case can be made for R5-D4 too, since the 97 figure was a radical interpretation of what the character looked like

Also I don't think you should include SE characters in the list, just because the SE didn't exist during the vintage line.

If the question is concerning figures rather than characters, it's not nit-picky. There were plenty of legitimate character variations of Vader that were never made in the Vintage line. Somehow Artoo got a couple and Threepio got one, but Vader and Chewie got nothing.

Regarding the Special Editions, obviously those characters could not have been offered at that time, although Kenner certainly could have produced figures in that style circa 1997. That would have been cool: a Vintage Star Wars Booster Set of characters unique to the Special Edition sculpted to fit in with existing figures.

I smell an exclusive opportunity.  ;)
