Are there any strange scents, smells, or odors that you are oddly attracted to? I like the way chalk dust smells & the scent of a skunk.
-
Gasoline, no I don't huff it or anything, when I'm at the Gas station I smell it.
Rain, you all know what I'm talking about, I just love that clean smell.
New Figure smell, everyone here can relate to that smell.
New Computer smell, see above.

(pet) rat's fur has a perfume-y smell
Newly burned CDs (while still warm)
As above, a freshly opened figure

New figure smell I love!! - The rain is excellent expecially when your near the ocean while it's raining. - New computer smell excellent, but I think everything that is new out of the package just smells really good!
I also love the way candles smell they can sooth the moment and clear your mind, some candles can smell really good. - The smell of Bacon and Eggs is great, you gotta love that smell. And then the good ol' Barbeque smell, in the summer is good. The list can go on, and on. I also love the way a theatre smells, you smell all the popcorn, hot dogs,.

Im a fan of flowers. Being near a garden with a nice breeze makes me so happy. Im also a fan of the ocean. I love to spend my time sitting on the beach and breathing in the ocean spray air.
Bar-B-Q in the summer smells so great.

I like the smell of the ocean, but I manage to live 1,500 miles from one.
-
That smell that you smell when you open figures is the same smell of new cars, its called Plasticizer, it is part of the reason figures get gummy and yellow too ;)
-
New figure smell. :)
I also like the smell of a freshly cut lawn, and clothes fresh out of the dryer. :P

MMMMMMMMMM................ Gotta love that fresh out of the dryer smell! ;)

I really like the smell of sawdust, something about that is sort of neat
-
Most of my favorites have already been pegged above, with the sole exception of rubber cement (glue)... 8)
Also a big fan of:
Gasoline
Sawdust
Rain
and of course - NEW SW figures!
I use to have one of the best Scratch-n-sniff sticker collections around, back when I was in elementary school (WAY back when these things were first invented). Apple was probably my favorite smell, and the most disgusting one was definitely the skunk! :-X Sorry FG, but that $h!t's nasty as hell - whether its the real thing, or just a sticker! :P

I used to love the way a new cassette tape smelled.
-
I love the smell of race gas. nice sweet smell.
apple cider vinager always struck me as a wierd smell I liked.
Thats about all the wierd smells I can think of right now that I like.
-
Fresh morning rain, baked bread & cinnamon buns. Also I noticed a very strange smell opening the silver bags of the Kubricks. 8)

Most of the new stuff you guys are naming (rubber cement, gasoline and cassette tapes) get their smell from Toluene, which is also a nice smell, cancerous though :-\
-
Thanks Captain Bringdown.
Books that are past 30 years old smell quite nice, they have this wonderfuly odd smell. Kinda like old houses.
-
coolant from open air grocery store freezers.
I spent many a super market visit with my head stuck down inside the freezers smelling it as a child, and still do it on occasion..
-
Nitrous Oxide...uh, huh huh huh huh...
Ethyl Chloride used to be a weird smell I enjoyed.
Keep in mind, I haven't smelled either one in close to 15 years...
Gasoline is nice.

I used to like it, but I've worked around it and breathed it in for the last two years. I can't smell it any more, except if it's pine, alder, or cherry.
-
rain
new books
fress grass
-
New book smell! And in some cases, old book smell.
You can just feel all those "smarts" wafting right up into your brain. ;)
-
Used bookstore/old book/library smell.
The smell of Best Buy when you first walk in the door.
Cow or Horse manure. Seriously. Not like "stick your face in a pile" enjoyment or bottle it and spray it around the house, but to be around a barn or a pasture on a breezy day when it's not too hot. It's nice. The smell of earth and hay.
Blue berry muffins baking. . .especially if it's what wakes me up.
-
Rain - before it rains, during, and after - three different smells
Apples - Apples on the tree, cider apples, apple pie
Mint - I have a mint garden, so I can tell you 3 different smells of mint - all good
Different trees, plywood, and sawdust
Gasoline
Cigars, pipes
New Books and Old books
Individually the smell of hair spray and ink are really bad - but combined, the smells are really intoxicating.

I know what you mean, for me it's a conforting feeling!!! As far as other WEIRD/STRANGE smells, not normal smells, I'd have to say tobacco before it's lighted. I love the smell of a cigarrette before its lighted, of course once it's lighted, I hate it!!! Oh and for some reason the smell of Moth Balls is another weird smell I like!!! :P
-
I absolutely love the smell of wood smoke and pine. Nothing beats the smell of the northern woods when you're camping. :)
And the smell my ass creates after a night of pizza and beer. It's a like a rosy air freshener. :P

Good grief. Leave it to Dale to find a farting emoticon! :o ;D

The weirdest smell I think I actually enjoy is probably tar. I love the smell when they're tarring the road, and I'll actually roll my windows down to enjoy it.
My favorite smell overall is probably cherries though. Maraschino cherries.
Why women wear perfume that stinks like flowers is beyond me. They pay 90 dollars an ounce to smell like a garden when they could just go to Baskin Robbins, dab a little cherry on and be good to go. :D
