Since every lot I seem to win has a Madine in it (and why does no one ever lose his weapon?), I thought I'd ask a question or two.
I've got a couple of Madines lying around and there seems to be some differences. Nothing more than paint apps, but still, they are interesting.
Blue eye versus black eye. Taiwan has the blue, Hong Kong the black.
Date stamp location:
Hong Kong on right boot, LFL 1983 on other boot.
Made in Hong Kong on right thigh, LFL 1983 on left thigh, much smaller print.
Made in Taiwan on right thigh, LFL 1983 on lefth thigh, large print.
Grey hair versus brown hair.
3 of four I have are brown hair, one is gray hair. Same color as the tunic.
A couple of other minor differences in the shade of blue, but I presume that is more age related than anything else.

Green hair? Haven't come across that yet.
Still, no mention of the blue eyes, so I've decided I like that one best. Hmmph.
Interesting to note that it was only ROTJ and Trilogo cards. No mention of POTF card, or is that an oversight? And if these are the only two cardbacks, why did a trilogo Madine go for so much a little while ago?

The 'green haired' variation was exported to Europe.
The Tri-logo card was mainly available in France from late '85. Meccano
It had a similar limited release to the Tri Jawa, Tri Luke Hoth and Tri ERG and they are all tricky to find. Madine is certainly the hardest to locate too! ::)
