Anyone catch SNL last night? Ashlee Simpson was caught lip synching when the song started and it was the one she already sang.
Its not odd that she was lip synching, because every two bit bubble gum piece of **** teeny bopper does it, the funny thing is she tried to blame her band for playing the wrong song.

I caught a link that Josh posted at Scum... Great stuff, I mean really good watching. :)
I don't know her, I don't care about her... I liked watching her fail on a massive level though.
The follow-up of her blaming her band is funny too. Yup... All their fault. :'( ;D

hahaha just watched it from the link logray provided, hilarious stuff. so the vocal tape goes off, she tries to act like nothing happens and does her stupid lil dance, then cant take it any more. meanwhile the poor saps who are playing guitar look at each other, realize what crappy work they're stuck with and just move on. classic stuff. i take it she made the excuse later on in the show after they came back from commercial?

I just think its funny that she got busted...and the band trying to cover for her and then for her to rip them is a class act too. I guess she's "singing" tonight at some awards show. I wonder how good it will sound

I caught the first song and could have sworn she was faking it. She had all the classic moves of a faker down (holding the mike in front of your mouth to obscure the view, no pause while moving, etc.)
Pretty funny that she got busted. ;D Too bad I missed the second song...

I was watching it on the west coast, which ran the screw-up minus the vocals over the air. It was even stranger not clearly knowing that was the problem. She just looked like she turned to her drummer, got pissed, danced an idiot jig, and left.
So I didn't have much clue as to what happened until Sunday when I saw the east coast clip. Even funnier now. Oops.

That was classic. Saw clips of it all over the news last night. Front page of CNN.com yesterday, and everything!
I heard she was supposed to sing on the RMA's on TV tonight... Anyone catch it? Interested to hear what she said and how she did, in an effort to redeem herself... Chick better have sung acappella!
I also just heard that Katie Couric's supposed to be interviewing her on the Today show in the next day or two. Sheesh. Maybe she pulled that stunt just to drum up a TON of publicity for herself... :P

Monday night she told awards show host Carson Daly in an off-stage interview that acid reflux disease had made her lose her voice four hours before her "SNL" appearances.

Now don't we all feel bad that it was really acid reflux that caused this lip syncing incident? The poor Simpson had acid reflux. I knew there was a logical explanation for this. Of course at first it was the band's fault. Then acid reflux, but just ignore that first excuse. Ok?
She must have went out and bought some Prevacid to cure that problem last night at that awards show. Because she really did sing last night. Suposedly? I guess?
Next time you hear of a singer lip syncing it could be acid reflux or diarhea or something like that.
