Post by: TheGuyInTheShadows on March 5, 2003, 06:35 PM
Are there any Variations for the 12" line and if so where can I find a variations list? ::)

Hello, not sure which line you are interested in, but JediDefender has an extensive list of 12 inch variations. Please click here (http://www.jedidefender.com/checklists.php). Choose "Variations" under the line of figures you wish to see. Please let us know if your needs have been met. :)

Thank You. I'm suprised that there aren't more Saga 12" variations. :o
Title: 12" Han Solo Error/ Variant ??? Fishy!
Post by: DSJ™ on July 5, 2003, 12:40 AM
Just saw this auction which the seller claims is a Error/Variant of the 12" Han Solo.

Han Solo (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3137705855&category=2476)

What are the odds that this has been opened & switched & resealed?

I say Blah!   Thoughts?

Could be legit... though it is easily faked.

I have an Emperor 12" boxed that has a "Glow in the Dark Lighsaber included" stick attached that came from an old Hasbro source of mine. So in essence Hasbro does foul up at times... We all know that much.

So hard to say for sure... but most signs point to this being a switch...

I don't know what "evidence" you guys have that points at it being a switcheroo?

Just recently I saw a 10" Vinyl CC Jango Fett in a Darth Vader box. Box was sealed and all. It's possible.

Take into account who it is thats packaging these things.  :P

To give the seller the benefit of the doubt, they have 99.6% positive feedback, 2,600 positive feedbacks, 600+ in less than 6 months.

They are also selling a slew of toys, which shows me that he isn't hurting for money. So, to be honest, none of us have the right to speculate, although we're enititled to our own opinion.  ;)

Again... Could be legit... but it is easily faked.

The tape on anything Hasbro uses is easily removable with no sign of tampering at all. It can also be purchased at any office supply store... let alone the fact that if done correctly it can be resealed with the same tape itself.

Anyone that has been in the game long enough knows that this kind of stuff happens all the time, and can be done very easily.

Aside from that many packages ranging from 12" to playsets to vehicles have come out of freshly cracked cases w/ two layers of tape. So basically that could be done and in a sense no one could argue that it's 100% fake.

I have many 12" with two layers of tape one on top of the other all of which came from freshly opened cases.

I guess my only question is why would you want it to begin with....fake or not?  I'm not trying to cause an arguement or anything but since this type of box is so easily opened you could switch boxes yourself and display it as a variant, so why pay for it unless you just want the doll.

Not really a variation but saw no need to start a new thread. I was opening up some of my old POTF2 12 inch figures and upon opening my Snowtrooper I was disappointed to see him with 2 right hands. He'll be a display and won't be too obvious to a passerby. Anyone else come across these types of problems with their 12 inch figs?
