6, 7 if you want to include the one I repainted. only one of the Stormtroopers is close enough to being white to warrant being displayed with the rest of my figures. the rest get hidden in playsets.

I just counted mine. I got 30 or so and I'm thinking that it might make up a good little battalion of them. I was wondering how many makes up a battalion?

I only have 3, 2 loose and 1 carded. A battalion, holy! Hmmm, did a quick search on google and found this on the Star Wars Databank (http://www.starwars.com/databank/organization/stormtroopers/?id=eu). Best that I can do.  :-\

According to the definition, I've only got 3% of a battalion of carded stormies (http://rwirth.netwiz.net/cardindexa.html) and about six or so loose...ranging in color from white to ecru. ;)

Ecru.  Nice!  I've got a couple that are just good old fashioned yellow.

That is an impressive Stormy run you have there.
Thanks for sharing.

So it looks like I have only about 4% of a battalion of loose strormtroopers.  Maybe I oughta go for a squad of stormtroopers or a couple squads instead.   :)

Great collection stormie!  Very impressive!

9.

My local comic shop got in a whole ****load of common vintage figures back in August. I cleaned house on Stormtroopers, Bespin Guards, Rebels, and some other commons that needed replacing.

Most were $2-3 a piece, with decent paint jobs and weapons.  The Stormtroopers were a little more expensive, at about $7-9 a piece. But most had their rifles, and really weren't too dirty.

I used to have about 15 and then sold almost all of them in a big lot a year ago or so.  Now I've got one or two and a couple of snowtroopers.

I went to a store nearby and they had a bunch of stormies I was intersted in buying but the guy wanted $20 each for them...they were in good shape though, but I told him no way.

In my vintage collection, I have 3 Stormtroopers.  One has been on a Dewback a little too long and got yellowed from the Tatooine suns, but he's complete.   :)

As for my "modern" collection, I have a LOT of those inaccurate fellas.

Has anybody thought about buying some of the cheapo stormtroopers you can find in the under-the-counter bin for like $0.50 becaues they're so yellow that taxi cabs get jealous and tried repainting them white and adding all the black parts back where they should be with paint or a sharpie?

I'm thinking it might be a fun way to army build vintage stormtroopers without hardly any cost other than the weapons.

I've actually done that as you can see in the image below. Personally, I wasn't overly happy with the results, I couldn't find a white to best match the color of the armor and my attempts on the helmet were blah to say the least...

This is funny. I have 15 Stormies now, but 11 of them I recently got in a large lot of stuff. There were lots of army builder stuff, so they didn't focus on anything in particular in the pictures. All but one stormie was painted like the one in this picture. I spent a lot of time removing the paint and still haven't been able to get all the paint out of the mouth grill.

try using Goof-off to get the coloring out. since the stormie was molded in the white plastic, you won't take off any of the original paint behind the grill. i dont know the long term effects of the Goof-off on the plastic though, so only use a little at a time
and do it in a well vented area.

Great bootlegs, John!

Here are a couple of my Kenner baggies, one heat sealed and one tape sealed.
