Ok. Here I go. I usually keep a low profile out here, but I'm going to end that. My real name is Micheal Rex, and I'm a children's book author and illustartor of over 25 books.

I'll keep your website on hand, Mike. It's good that your doing somthing for kids. I see less and less childrens books, especialy with two sisters, and a baby cousin. :)

My 19-month-old daughter is nuts about any and all books. And I'm sure when my 3-month old is older she'll be the same way.
Are all your books written for ages 4-8 or are some for younger kids?
I'm very envious of what you do. Is writing and illustrating children's books enough to pay the bills? I think I've always thought of it as more of a side job or hobby, but that would be great if it was lucrative enough.
Your step-by-step section on your Website was great!
Next time I'm at the bookstore, I'll have to check out your books! :)

If only you knew someone in the Book Distribution field that could help... ;D
Let my fingers do the walking on EAN 9780399242816 (The Dunk Skunk book), and can promise you Barnes and Noble and Borders carries it. EAN for Truck Duck is 9780399240096 in case anyone needs it.

Actually, I have been lucky to make a living doing this. Because I'm a writer and an illustartor, I can do 2 or 3 books a year. I also do education illustration work, and I do school visits. It's a tough business, but I've managed to hang on for almost 10 years now.

My son who is 2 years old loves books - especially ones that have vehicles or Thomas the Tank!
