Naga Sadow (Sith Lord) finished July, 2005

Made from a 6" WWE jaks pacific Booker T figure. I used sculpy 3 for all armor, Walmart scrap bin fabric for the cape/cloak and dress thing, and a necklace I got on clearance and dismantled for the chains.

Man, I pat my self on the back when I "sculpt" a thin strip that becomes a shoulder strap :P
Excellent job, you just need to give him a lightsaber ;)

I'm not usually a fan of non 3-3/4" figures, but your work is definitely an exception.

Here is one I did about 1999. I havent posted my previous customs since I couldnt get decent photos of them and the fact that they were my early attempts and I don't think they were that good.
This one is of Gorc, the behemoth dark Jedi from Dark forces II: Jedi Knight. I used a WWF bad ass billy gunn extreme sweat figure as the base figure. Everything else is sculpy. The lightsaber hilt is a scope from a 12" GI Joe sniper figure and the lightsaber is a cheapo orange paintbrush with the paintbrush part taken off.

He's an ass man! He loves to kick em, he loves to shove em, he loves to-er...sorry. Big WWE fan. Good use of parts there. I couldn't even tell it was Billy. Now where's Road Dogg or Chuck Polumbo Jedi? :-*

Geez, aside from the pose, I would have never known that was the base figure. I'd like to give you a better critique, but I can't find one thing wrong with this guy. You are an excellent sculptor :D

Great choice on the figure. Are you going to attempt his tiny partner? That little guy killed me so many times. heh

Wow, I really like these figures, but I must admit, I don't think the first guy looks much like what I envision a Sith to look like.
He looks more like a planetary warloard or crime boss. Still very cool and Star Wars-y, but I just don't get "Sith" from him....but, that's just me.
And #2 looks more like a gladiator/guard than a Dark Jedi. Again, extremely cool and VERY great work, but, if it was up to me, I'd "cast" these guys in different roles.

That's what they look like in their respective EU sources, so those are great representations even if one doesn't see them as sith.

I think that part of it for someone who doesn't see these as Sith is that they aren't from Star Wars parts in the first place. Which to me, makes these figures all the more creative.
Finally, a use for Wrestling figures!!! ;)
The Gorc looks excellent Rolla Jedi. You sure do know how to sculpt.

That gorc I made in 1999 took about 2 months to do because back then, I completly used the crappy, cheap white sculpy thats cheap and sells at wm, so it was more difficult to sculpt and took forever to bake! The naga sadow I finished this month took only a week, so I've gotten faster, thats for sure!

Do you always bake your sculpy? Does that not melt a figure?
I've found that boiling it in water while on the figure works... but then again, I barely ever sculpt anything. So what do I know? ???

when I used to do 3 3/4" figures (1999-2002) before I "retired" for a while, I cooked them in the oven on an aluminum pie plate. Since then, I have a new house and my wife doesnt want me to do them in the oven because it using up too much energy or something. So, I now use a hairdryer and it works just as good.
My first figure I ever did was of Odan-Urr from tales of the jedi: golden age of the sith. I DID melt him though as I left him in there too long. So, he is the only figure I have that has no articulation, and is basically a statue that I recreated by sculpting him from scratch. Its definitly not my favorite figure I've done, but then again, it was my first one too! :)
I'll post pics from my other customs as I take them. The rest are 3 3/4" and I'm not super-proud of them because they were from my early customizing days. They are:

What was the base of the head on that Odan-Urr figure? The sculpting around the eyes (and the eyes themselves) look lifelike!

No kidding. I am really glad you joined these forums. I love seeing your stuff. :)
The sculpting on these is fantasitc. Are those some kind of beads for the eyes? If you ever update these the only thing that would need fixing is the articulation, other wise they are almost perfect. :)

I enjoy customizing when I get the chance to. Although its not as often as I'd like. I'm trying to participate in the customs challenge, but this month's been hectic so far and I don't think I'm gonna be able to do one for august. I'm trying though!
The odan-urr head has no base. Its completly from scratch. And the eyes are tiny beads I bought at walmart. I'm glad you all like them, but I am definitly better now and don't really care much for my earlier attempts.
