Title: Easter Long Weekend Plans?
Post by: DSJ™ on April 7, 2003, 12:37 PM
Well Easter is getting closer so what are your Easter long weekend plans?

What are your Easter long weekend plans?
For me, I’m going to my parents place in the city. My dad is 82 & my mom is 77. My brother & his wife & my 1 st. nephew & his new wife will be there. My sister & my oldest brother can’t make it but will be here in August for a family reunion. My oldest brother is retired. :o  My dad’s been retired since he turned 62.  8)

My parents are having the dinner catered & they will have no dinner to cook or dishes to clean. No work for them to do.  :)
I’m just going to kick back & relax & enjoy the meal & have good times with the family.

So what are your Easter long weekend plans? Let’s hear it.

Easter is just another weekend to me, so I don't have anything special planned, with the possible exception of going to see a local Lucha Libre show (not very Easter-ish, but fun!). I will probably eat a few Cadbury's mini eggs, though.  :)

Creme, Caramel or Crunch?

I'm a devout Caramel man myself ;)

We haven't decided yet what we will do, I'm sure ham will somehow be involved though

Besides the fact that I won't be eating Cadbury Creme Eggs (they are the most digusting, vile, nastiest things I have ever eaten), the wife and I will be headed to New Jersey that weekend.  I grew up there and we're looking to move back.  So that weekend, we'll be driving around looking at towns to settle in.  As for Easter itself, whatever my family has planned, we'll be there.  It usually involves way too much food, but it's always a good time.

Creme, Caramel or Crunch?

None of the above- I mean the Mini Eggs- the little solid chocolate ones with the crispy shells. I haven't actually had a Creme Egg in quite awhile. When I was in London recently, they had vending machines in the tube stations with ALL sorts of Creme Eggs, though.

Easter plans will consist of getting together with my mom and brothers, then the rest will be work around the house. Nothing to special this year.

I hope I get a big basket of Easter candy. You can never outgrow a bunch of chocolate goodies ;D

All I've been doing all weekend is packing to move and painting my new apartment and cleaning it. Pretty boring. I did go out last night with some people, but was too tired and distracted to have too much fun. Go figure. I don't celebrate Easter, so it's more of an inconvenience to me that no stores were open. I really needed to buy some more packing tape today!! (Pout)

I understand Brent (Morgbug) has some extra bubble wrap, if you need any...
