A friend of mine at work said the same thing happened to his... something caused the little drive motor to just get stuck in the on position, so it spins and spins and runs the battery down almost instantly while overheating.

I got it for Christmas, so it's still inside 1-year.

I'm taking it into the Apple store Saturday...

Well I'm working at my desk just now and my iPod shuts off... I pick it up, and it's practically on fire.  Almost too hot to tough.

The battery went dead despite being plugged in, and any time I turn it on (it wouldn't turn on at first) it instantly starts to heat up...

Anyone had anything similar happen?

The damn thing is only 7 months old and I'm insanely gentle with it.   ::)

I'm with what Matt got at earlier...

In order for Hasbro to do all of the figures, eventually waves will have to be released with repacked VOTC/VTSC figures too.

Which doesn't bother me at all.

All 96 in this style running next to a vintage carded collection would be a beautiful sight.

Nevermind... these things fill up fast.  The 9:00 option for the 23rd is gone now.  So we'll leave it as is - it's about the only decent time in the middle of the week that we're going to get.

The only other choice at this point that I see is a forum draft - which we don't want to do.

So, we're currently set for August 29th, 10:30 CDT.

There is still a 9:00 CDT option for the Tuesday the 22nd as well - but who knows how long it will be available, and I'm hesitant to switch for fear of losing the slot we have.

So for that day, the only time it will give me is 10:30 PM, CDT.

A)  What the hell is CDT?  Is that the same as CST?

B)  If we had it a week earlier, we can get 9:00.
