Saga Legends / Re: Saga Legends "Mission Series" Figure 2-Packs
« on: April 25, 2015, 08:30 PM »
With the supposed demise of the Legends/Rebels line, do we know what is happening with the MS line, and when we will see the Vader/Asohka pack?   Have they previewed anything else in this line beyond the Hera wave?

It seems a shame if they've killed the Rebels/Legends line and they have Season 2 starting this summer.  I still think there are some great options for figures there.  I'm fine if they all come out as two packs in the MS line, but I'd like to see more Rebels content.

Star Wars Rebels / Re: Star Wars Rebels - Class II Vehicles

Finally cracked open my Imperial Troop Transport.  Overall I think its a pretty solid toy for $20.

Its solid and sturdy, so it won't break while playing with the kids.  The spring loaded missiles work just fine and figures fit in there perfectly.  Sure its a little short and figure's heads stick out over the top, but its not that bad for a toy.  At least figures can sit in the vehicle to "drive" it.  I like the internal spots for holding guns and stuff too.

My only two gripes are that I hate putting on tiny, tiny little stickers.  I wish they would either leave them out of the design, or find a way to paint them on.  And it would have been nice to have rolling wheels on the bottom.  Ultimately I understand that wheels were probably omitted to save on the cost, but it would be fun to be able to roll the vehicle across the floor.

I would definitely recommend picking up this toy if you ever come across it.  I got mine from HTS, and have never seen one in a store.

Wow.  I barely saw any of these in the stores.

Was Hasbro's production run that small, or did they ship them all to eastern Europe to be clearanced?

I wonder if the same thing is going to happen to the TBS figures.  I don't think I've seen anything new since October.

So did they mention a tentative release date for Season 2?

Umm, what is going on with the distribution on these figures?  Just saw that EE has a case of these for pre-order for $165!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think I've seen any replenishment of TBS figures at Target or TRU since Christmas.

Mission Series and Legends have been coming through (at least at Target) distribution for the past month, but nothing from TBS.

Anybody know if we're going to see these figures at retail or if these are all getting dumped overseas?

Was there any mention of what the new bonus content was?

I hope even if they don't replenish their stock they let us pre-order using the discount.

I missed Hera, but got the Imperial Troop Transport and other goodies at a sweet discount.

I haven't been able to track down much of anything at retail lately, so any help from HTS is much appreciated!!!

I'm hoping to score the new 6" figs in the coming weeks.

Anybody have any idea on rough release date for Season 2?  I swear my kids ask me every day when a new Star Wars Rebels will be on...

The Black Series 3.75" Figures / Re: Disneyland Exclusive R2-D60

Another MN guy here.  I'll take one too.  Hopefully you can just ship one package to Jeff and he can hand them out at the next meeting.

Let us know how/when to send check/Paypal.

They don't have Mission Series, $10 3 3/4", or Legends listed.  But they do have a replacement 6" figure DCPI at the same price point.

Maybe this listing is just the new DPCIs and they'll keep the existing DCPIs 3 3/4" DCPIs active.

Was travelling to a small South Carolina town (40,000 people) that surprisingly had a TRU.  I had the opposite experience of seeing a weird double aisle with Star Wars items on both sides.  Probably twice the content I've seen elsewhere and mostly allotted to Hasbro items.  Although they still didn't have anything I was looking for...

Maybe "Rogue One" refers to a rogue Jedi - e.g. Ashoka or Ventress.

Anybody know what the story line is with the Wookiee Gunship (as produced by Lego) for Rebels?   Was this a story line that was cut from Season 1, or will be shown for Season 2?

My kids really like the ship, but keep asking me what the story is with this ship.

Why do we think anyone knows?  Obi-Wan can probably sense it and maybe Yoda, but they're supposedly living out a very exiled existence out of contact from anyone else.  The Emperor used droids to build the Vader armor, so how would anyone make the link back to Anakin?

I agree.  Outside of Obi-Wan and Yoda, I don't think anyone necessarily knows who Darth Vader is.  And unless they told Bail and the droids (why would they?), then I don't think anyone else knows.

Granted, I haven't read many of the EU books, so there might be something else I'm missing.

Ultimately I don't think it matters to 99.99% of the characters as all they need to know is that The Emperor has a new bad-ass enforcer.  Nobody really needs to know where he came from and what his pod-race records are.

I think Ashoka is about the only main character that has any real ties to Anakin.  So if there is a reveal of Vader's origins, I don't think it would really matter to anyone but her.

So what is meaningfully new in this wave?
