The Black Series 3.75" Figures / Re: Toy Fair 2015

Jedi News also mentioned that they had to sign a non-disclosure agreement in order to check out the Hasbro offerings.

I think that's a pretty common thing for them though, in order to keep them from spoiling US Toy Fair.  They've had to sign one the past few years and they usually get a token reveal or two to make up for it.

I guess I wouldn't be surprised that retailers may get to see The Force Awakens stuff the general media doesn't at Toy Fair.  There are always "retail only" areas where Hasbro has potential exclusives for them to check out and show off other "not quite ready for the media" in-development things.  Would make sense that Target/TRU will get to see TFA prototypes or preview figures that we won't get to see until April/Celebration or later.

I'm going to guess:
$7 - 3.75" 5POA line
$15 - 3.75" premium collector line

I'm not so sure it'll get pricier.

TBS are now $14.29 at my Target

Who are you kidding?  Just buy two now before they sell out!

I've seen Tamashii do something similar with other brands.  Sort of like a "first run" will include the stand and then a second run will be Vader alone at a cheaper price...  wonder if that is the case here too.

Pedro, Big Unit, Smoltz, Biggio make Hall of Fame

Can't argue with any of those picks.

I wonder with JJ Abrams leading this film if we'll even see much previewed or pre-released merchandise like we've seen in the past from a Lucas led company.

The initial releases will probably be tailored in such a way that there will be some release that takes advantage of the holiday shopping season, while keeping things spoiler free.

I think those 6" prototypes are a pretty good indicator.   I think a preview wave with stuff form the teaser trailer  - chrome/black stormtrooper, BB-8 ball droid, masked Kylo Ren, etc - would be fine and wouldn't give away anything we haven't already seen...

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: Rumor: No more 3D Prequel Releases?
« on: January 6, 2015, 11:44 AM »
People seem to forget that AOTC 3D was already dumped off onto the Celebration audience.  It made its "debut" at Celebration Europe II.

AotC 3D lives...  if you're going to Celebration Europe this summer, that is.

That's why the announcement focuses on ROTS 3D - it's the film being shown for the first time...  the other two (Ep1 3D, Ep2 3D) have already been screened publicly.

According to my personal scale expert (aka Jesse), the Hero Series X-Wing is actually pretty close to perfect scale match for the 3.75" figures -

29 Inches long on this ship means it's actually 1/17 scale, almost on the nose.  Star Wars figures range anywhere from 1/17 to 1/20 (the newer more lean to 1/20).

Rebelscum's Hasbro: The Force Awakens Product Rundown

Nice rumor list from 'scum.  Nothing confirmed, but I wonder if this list "leaked" to help stem some of the "OMG 3.75inch Star Wars figures are dead" rumors out there?

The Wild aren't perfect by any stretch (the goalkeeping, the horrid power play)

*sigh*

Well, it looks like the goaltending is doing everything it can to torpedo my favorite team.  :-\

With Suter's dad passing away; Parise's dad dying from cancer; the flare-ups with Harding's MS after finally getting back on track from a broken foot; the horrible inconsistency of Darcy Kuemper; the aging midsection of Backstrom; all of our top seven defensemen missing serious time with the mumps; Granlund breaking his wrist (out 3-4 weeks); the norovirus taking out some of our forwards for a few games; and Vanek not managing to find the back of the net?

I'm starting to get the sense that things are just not coming together for the Wild this year.

Wondering how much worse it will get before they get back on track...  at this point, we may have already dug ourselves a hole so big that we won't be able to get out.  And we won't even be bad enough for McDavid.  :(

I'll kick off this thread with some news sent to us by Hasbro today...

Hasbro will be exhibiting a variety of fun and exciting Star Wars products from across its portfolio of brands, including Star Wars action figures, Star Wars Galactic Heroes and more. There will be no toys based on Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Star Wars Episode VII) shown at Toy Fair this year.

No Ep7 stuff.  Probably not a big surprise since it's so early... and it gives them something exciting to tease at Celebration in April with a bigger Ep7 reveal at SDCC.

That thing is gonna be massive.

Or massively underscaled. :P

Paging Jesse to tell us how big a 6" figure scale X-Wing would need to be in order to be true-to-scale.
