I remember the days when some people said it was pointless and unrealistic to be pushing Hasbro for playsets.   That we were beating a dead horse.

How sweet it is now that we've seen the current Hasbro team take interest in world building these past couple years.

Not sure how long this approach will last, so I'm just enjoying the moment.  I'll definitely be ordering at least one throne room.

I received my sets from Dorkside Toys on Friday.

For what you get for $50, I'm good with it.  The sets are not GTP or Owen Driscoll quality in my opinion, but that's ok.  It's a diorama-esque playset, which is exactly what I used tp alwash bash Hasbro for NOT making.  And here we finally are with Jabba's Palace, the Freeze Chamger, and now this.  So while it could be better, I'm just enjoying that this has finally happened.

In these pics, I combined two sets.  In the below pic, it's 35 inches long for anyone considering making room on a shelf to set something like this up:

Seeing lots of online sales on this, and very few retailers that carried it.  I wonder how this has performed / impact it will have on future playsets.

I ended up getting two Razor Crests, but I've actually never sold a SW figure in my entire collecting life, and don't intend to start. But my kids are absolutely bananas for the Mandalorian (they've been singing the theme song at the top of their lungs for weeks), so I figure this will be a great gift as they get a little older. And hey, if the extras end up being valuable, down the road, they can choose what to do with them.

Similar for me.  I bought 2... the second one for options... may customize, may keep boxed for my kids if they ever want it, etc.  Guess I could also use it for trade bait if needed.  But will be in no hurry to part with it.

Got mine in too.

It's definitely a little fragile - the steps don't lock on and connecting the two half circles is fine but they don't lock in place together.   Good display, but as a playset not so much.  I do like it a lot.

Sept 2 is my expected delivery date too.  Which happens to be my wife's birthday go figure

Stay tuned on the GTP front... shouldn't be too much longer before their next announcement, or at least that's my understanding.

I was kinda hoping for a blockade runner about the size of the barge.  But after today's reveal, I'm just floored by how nice they pulled off the hallway, made it modular, etc.  It's basically everything I've been hoping for with diorama-esque playsets for what feels like at least 20 years now.

I'm clueless as to what the next piece will be.  I mean, it's got to be OT related somehow, right?  Or I guess the Razorcrest is a possibility... but I don't really need that like I need a Cantina playset, a Death Star, or I guess a Sandcrawler... though I'd fork out $500 for an AT-M6 without hesitation.

I'm down for at least 6 sets.

Above is multiple sets together, really love how you can configure it in different ways.  $50 with the fleet trooper is a heck of a deal.

So glad that the current Hasbro team is dipping their toes more now in diorama-esque playsets.  For years it seemed like these things would never happen.

GTP Space Walls seemed to have opened up some eyes.

I'm all for the blockade runner being a Haslab project.  To me it makes perfect sense.

In a playset mood.

After this hit clearance they quickly disappeared in my area about 3 weeks ago.  $30 was the markdown and they didn't stick around long.

My guess is they will follow this set up with a companion piece, so as long as the Freeze chamber performs to their liking.

My guess is.... Razorcrest, or a Death Star or Tantive IV.

I actually would like a Tantive on par with the Sail Barge.  With opening panels for a hallway.  Would be epic, in my opinion.

Personally, I'm excited as can be.

10 or 15 years ago, I think that I would have been very vocal and opinionated on the design.

Older me feels like this is perfect for my needs and I think it's a smart approach by Hasbro.  I'm happy with how this looks and hope it's possible that you can attach a 3rd set with steps to expand on it more.  I do worry a little that the rail things might get warped.

Overall a good item and nice to see.  I also am a little intrigued if this approach could work for Palpatine's throne room in ROTJ.

Like this Luke 3pk a lot.  Ordered 2 yesterday.  Had one already thanks to Lance Quazar who got me a set at SDCC.
