K.  Got a vacation coming up, I'd like a little extra moolah to blow cause we are stopping by a casino or two.  (hopefully it won't be "blow" and it will be "win" but, I think most people that have that attitude going into a casino are just setting themselves up for a dissapointment.)  (heh.)  Anyway.  If you see anything you are interested in, please, let me know.  I'm going to have to ebay some of it in the next couple of days.

Other Toy Lines / Re: RC Microsizers
« on: July 14, 2003, 01:44 PM »
I thought the I-Racers looked cooler...They weren't all interchangeable, but were smaller and you could have up to 5 going at one time (as opposed to the two with microsizers)

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Twist Ties... I Hate 'Em!
« on: July 12, 2003, 01:21 PM »
Hmmm.  Hard to say really.  I don't think I mind the twisty ties as much as the little plastic rubber things on star wars figures.  I remember almost pulling one figure's arm off...and, then the new way of sticking figure's legs or arms through that plastic backing material stuff...Icky.

I have a pair of wire snippers I can normally use with much success on cutting the twisties.  I don't think you could pay me enough to untwist all of those...The only problem I had was I cut off half of one of the cantina cinema scene aliens feet on one of those foot twisty ties.

What about Marvel Legends packing?  I remember when I opened my spiderman classics, I must have spent 10 minutes trying to get him out.  You have to use a knife.

Don't get this game!  You won't sleep, you won't eat.  You won't talk to your friends!  You will go to work, and sit on the internet at the SWG forums reading about the game.  You will think about what you are going to do on the game when you get home, so you can play for another 4 hours.  ahhhhh!

Needless to say, I'm addicted to the game quite heavily right now.  It is a lot of fun, character customization is great.  Lots to do, 1000's of playhours waiting for you.  It still has some bugs, the ones I've run into are very minor and don't affect my game play.  Some people have been having fairly major problems though.

If you do decide to get it, I would highly reccomend making sure your computer is well over the Min. specs.  I have a fairly up to date system, g4 4200 vid, 512 ram, amd 2200 processor, but, I'll still get some bad frame rates in the city.  I've been told by everyone that when I plug in my new stick of ram, that will be fixed.  This game is a big RAM eater, so, try to have 1 gig of RAM if you can.  Don't try it with 256 in any case...

Anyway, I'm signing up for a year long subscription.  I think that is the best review I can give.

Smacking of any kind, but mainly people that smack and pop gum.  *shudder*

Gum under chairs/desk.  Come on people, what is more nasty that this?

Boogers.

People that spit when they talk.

People that talk with their mouth full of food/something else.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Ever Walk Out of A Movie?
« on: June 29, 2003, 12:08 PM »
Master chief: I think that was the 13th warrior.

As far as someone walking out of spiderman, I can see that.  I thought it was an OK movie AT BEST.  I was soooo dissapointed with that movie.  I hear people saying they didn't like the green goblin suit...I thought that was the best part of the movie.  Everything else sucked.  Kirstin dunst should not be allowed to ever make another movie.  Ever.  Never, ever.  Please.  Mary Jane is supposed to become a super model!  You should at least get someone that is at least close to being a super model!  (did you see the MTV movie awards parody?  I thought Sarah Michelle Gellar made 20x better mary jane.)

Anyway.  That is my short Spiderman sucks rant for the day.

As far as movie's I've walked out of...the worst movie of all time:  Event Horizon.  Egads what a terrible movie.  I kept sitting through it saying "maybe it will get good now".  No.

If I had seen a thin red line in the theatre, I would probably walk out of tha too.  I watched it on video...zzzzzzz.

I also walked out of Saving private ryan, but, right at the end when the flag started waving.  Just, that scene where the guy gets killed by the knife...that was just...I dunno, it hit home for me I guess.  *shudder*.  I had nightmares about that for a while actually.

I think those are the only two I've walked out of.  I'm surprised no one has mentioned Moulin Rouge.  Personally, I loved the movie, but, I know at some of the theaters I went to theaters were giving people their money back with no questions asked for it.  What was funny though, there was a worker at the movie who was chatting up a couple of cute girls.  He made some crack about "good thing you guys aren't going to see moulin rouge, that movie is terrible."  The girls replied:  "Actually, we love the movie, are going to see it now for the second time."  And walked off.  I don't think I've seen a guy turn redder...Tee hee.  It is sad how much people enjoy watching other people stick their foot in their mouth.

Also, I didn't do it, but on my second time watching AOTC's in the theater, a guy fell asleep during the movie, then got up and took his wife and kid out saying it was too boring...  what the heck???

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: 28 Days Later

I think it is a remake of Charlton Heston's Omega Men or something like that.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Movies that make you cry
« on: June 23, 2003, 07:25 PM »
I can't believe you didn't list the obvious...Vader dying in ROTJ...Yoda dying?  Ben dying?  Helloooo?

Actually, Buffy the Vampire Slayer has made me cry several times (no jokes about your opinions of the show)  I've really gotten into that and Angel, so, when things happen I feel somewhat affected emotionally.

Some of these were when I was a bit younger...

Patch Adams.

What dreams may come.  (I'm a sucker for Robin Williams I guess.)

The Truman Show.

The original King Kong.  I was so sad when the planes killed him.  :(

Baby.  (It was a dinosaur movie of sorts...was a part where the daddy dino gets killed by the bad guys.)

The Patriot.  (mel gibson...not segal.)

The Last Unicorn.

The Mask of Zorro.

I'm sure there are lots more...I am a big wuss.

I've mainly been working on my padme shrine.  :)

Aside from that, I just horde stuff that looks cool.

I'm most definately in.  I've had this game preordered since last July!  Last November I had my new computer built so, I shouldn't have any problems running the game.  I'm excited, and ready to play, bugs and all.

On a side note, if anyone needs a good fun loving Player Association:
