I've been thinking about this as well.  While I too have way too much stuff, I always assume that much of my collection will be in storage and only a portion can be displayed.  For the new films, I will buy either highly articulated or 5POA 3 3/4 figures.  I like them both.  What concerns me is that Disney/Lucasfilm/Hasbro are only going to make top shelf characters.  And with a new movie out every year, it will give them little time for the background characters and cool aliens.  What's kept me interested in SW figures is the depth of the character selection.

I'm always up for a good vehicle too, but if the release the OTC Falcon with a new radar dish (Because Lando broke the last one) I'll have to pass.

Star Wars Rebels / Re: Star Wars Rebels Toy Rumors!

I was thinking that too...  Certainly possible.  It's like the Falcon was around at the dawn of civilization in Star Wars.

How do ya sell more different toys though!?  - George Lucas

Yeah, I'm a Lucas apologist, but I never believed he was only out to sell toys for one reason.  If you wanted to sell more toys, your main characters would change clothes every 15 minutes.  In the prequels, Obi-Wan wore essentially one outfit.  No disguises, no formal wear, no casual wear, no climate specific clothes, just his Jedi stuff.

I think there will be two arms that fold out form his head.  There's a grey/brown rectangle on the right of his head that looks like a separate piece.

I'm going to be heading to Disney World in November.  This will be fun diversion, but I have no intention of trying to get all of anything.  Just a few might be fun.

I grabbed one at TJ Maxx last night.  It was 59.99, but that's what I get for living in the North East.  It was kind of hard to find, and I almost missed it because Maxx is such a pigsty.  There was only one and it was standing on it's end behind some other crap on an end cap.  But my toy-senses were tingling, so I was able to sniff it out.

It's a fine toy.  My boys and I messed with it this morning.  However, I didn't buy it earlier because A)  It was something that I didn't really have a huge passion for, and B) was way too pricey when it first hit.  But for 60.00 it was good buy, and a nice once for my collection.

Saga Legends / Re: Saga Legends "Mission Series" Figure 2-Packs

Yeah, these sets are just fun.  I have wanted  Han/Chewie and R2/3PO 2 packs since 1995.

I have found all of these, except the Stormtrooper.  Most of them are pretty nice.  I'm shocked that R2 doesn't even click when turning his head.  However, the Han figure is one of my favorite figures ever.  There's just something so dead on about him.  I think its the angle of his wrist.  To make his gun level, he has to raise his hand above his shoulder, and it is very, very Han.

It's a friggin' shame that Hasbro didn't make the 1995 figures like this.  There's nothing on these that could not have been done back then, they just made bad aesthetic choices with the muscle-men figures.

McMetal, where do you live?

The Black Series 3.75" / Re: Toy Fair 2014

If a new movie came out and we only got 4 new figures I would cry.

Not really, but it would bum me waaaay out.

As far as Toy Fair goes, I really have no idea, and after last year I am simply not getting my hopes up.

It seems that everyone who likes this line wants a few Stormtroopers.  I hope Hasbro notes this and releases a Mission Series set with A.) Two Stormtroopers.  B.)  A Stormtrooper and a new TIE Pilot, or C.) A Stormtrooper and a new Death Squad Commander.

I'd love sets like that.

Collections / Re: Display Problem/Solution?

One of my first thoughts was to make a sort of plexiglass "sleeve" that the figures could be dropped into and, like your idea, rest against the glass.  However, all figures would have to be posed vintage style with nothing extended out in front of them.  No one could hold a light saber.

Masterg Phruby...that's the game plan.  We wanted to make it similar enough to click with those other shows, but unique enough that it really stands out.  Fingers crossed on getting an order for a whole season.

These look great, and I just enjoy this line for what it is.

However, if these things had been on Vintage style cards, but the size of the new Vader card, this line would be amazing.

Guys, thanks for responding.  JediJMan, I'd been thinking about your solution as well, but because of the angle of the ceiling, each shelf would have to extend almost 8 inches to allow for a display height of four inches.  The issue then is that it starts pushing into an already small space, and I would only get one row of figures, and I want to display many more than that.  But I am going to think about it.
