Just got my 6 ERG's + 3 Nien Numb's from amazon today. Got an order for two more guards on the way.
Too bad this is the last of the Vintage Collection for now.

Nothing online.

And none at our local 8th St. store.

Saw the ewok set at the local penn station store. $16.49 was the price when i scanned it.

Found the lost line at my local TRU today. Picked up 3 Leia's and 3 vader's. 2 on vintage card and one on lost line. What was even sweeter was the BOGO 50% off deal. Also picked up a non SW item. Kraven the hunter. Good Friday has come twice in one year.

Hasbro is full of it. I read the JTA article also and Lucasfilm is partly to blame yes, but as a corporation/business you decide to release different lines to boost sales. Fine, I get that. How can vintage sell to collectors when you're not making the product available in all areas? This has been an issue for me since TAC wave. I had to order Han in the probe contraption via star wars shop.com. Hasbro when given the suggestion about using HTS for the sales of backed up vintage stock, the rep replied that they don't want to leave out the retail chains. Now I don't know much about big business but money is money. IMO hasbro wants that big check from Walmart, target, TRU and Kmart before they will take small change from us little collectors who for the most part only want individual figures any way. So distribution isn't a concern for them. That's a bunch of hogwash. Granted they can't control what the stores get as far as which figure is in what case. But if they really.have their ears open and eyes on what lines are moving and what lines are not, then why not use your company website to make some profit rather than none all. That idiot rep stated that they want consumers to use HTS as a last resort. WTF? Last resort? I enjoy going to my local target or TRU and picking up what I want. However, if those chains don't have what I want, wouldn't it make sense for the consumer to use HTS to fulfill their needs by purchasing product from hasbro's site and therefore giving hasbro business; not only from the sale of the figure or figures but also from the overpriced shipping. I'm not holding my breath expecting things to change where distribution is concerned. I'll be taking a pause for the cause when I get my royal guards and come back when vintage comes back.

Found both sets today at a TRU in da Bronx. After doing a price check and waiting on a line which took forever, I put the items down and walked out. First, they were listed for $45.00. Second, I didn't have my 20% rewards coupon with me. I was going to ask for the online price, cause you can do that and for the most part TRU will grant it to you, but after having time to examine both sets, I didn't feel the $39.99 price was worth either set. I'm not even a big ewok fan. I wish for a different outcome where they're concerned every time I watch Jedi. If they go on sale, like bogo free or something of that nature then I might reconsider. In the mean time you guys enjoy. This story was just to confirm that some TRU's are charging $45.00 but like I said you can ask the manager to give you the online price for them.

Same here on all counts. Original Trilogy all the way.

This is why my theory will be that Build-a-Droid will stick around for the rest of the 3D re-releases of the PT and when the 3D re-releases of the OT hit, we'll be back to the Vintage line and it will be during that push that they will finish redoing the original 92 and updating the remainder of the POTF2 figures.

From your lips to Gods ears. I hope your theory is right. I need a fully articulated updated Bib Fortuna.

P, I'm glad you were excited and I'm sure you weren't the only one. I agree with you on the over producing factor. Hasbro really thought this was going to 1999 2.0; I'm for one glad sales showed them that it wasn't and hopefully they'll start listening to all consumers and not just a specific targeted demographic. P, also agree with you about them including HTF figures with this wave. It might have helped sales better.

I'm sure this has been discussed in other topics, please bare with me a sec. Idk if you've all seen the video of hasbro reps at the sdcc talking about distribution and what they expected from TPM wave. I know there are fans of this movie and this wave. I don't know any personally but why argue. I'm just amazed, confused, surprised at hasbro for really pushing this wave, which of course centered around the 3D release, but its sad they really believed this wave and everything tied to it was going to take off. The original phantom was released in 1999. It has been over a decade since the world had seen a new star wars movie much less purchased a new figure. When that phenomenon broke out people wanted to feel like they were part of a movement so they raced to get anything old or new that was star wars, not knowing what a disaster that movie would turn out to be.

Now that the dust has settled and the smoke had cleared, consumers have had time to come to their senses about this movie and this wave. I know the kids want this wave and some older collectors too but this over abundance of this wave is and was sickening. Get it off the pegs/shelves and consider it a loss. Hasbro gets a D minus in my opinion where TPM is concerened.

The 2 2-packs have AT-ST pilots and the Ewok hijackers.  There will also be a speeder bike which comes with a scout and a clear floating stand.

Thanks for the info P-Siddy. I guess I'll be stalking all the kmarts in the area then.

Not necessarily "Vintage" collection, but I did pick up the Ewok and Rebel Pilot sets from TRU last week.  Aside from a few more exclusives (K-Mart 2 packs, Speeder Bike), and the last wave preordered, I think I'm pretty much caught up on SW for the year.

I know the distribution stuff has been discussed a lot, but I got to thinking about it again today, and it really has been horrible.  I started ordering waves online a couple years ago already, so I don't notice it quite as much as I used to - but aside from three of the Sandstorm figures (at a WM), and two of the Hoth Luke wave (at TRU) I haven't seen a single figure past the TPM stuff at any store, all year long.  I know some have had it even worse (like no figure sightings at all outside of TPM).  Just crazy when you think about it.  Sometimes it is a wave here or there, but this year - at least so far - has been nothing since Feb.

Sorry, but which kmart exclusives? Other than the scout walker, you mentioned two packs and a speeder bike. Please explain. Thanks.

Amazon's shipping sucks! Ordered moff tarkin and gamorrean guard they packed, one face up and the other face down on top. They had a rubber band around them and to top it off they also had a layer of plastic wrap to seal them together. The items were shipped in the standard cardboard box, but after all of the unwrapping, moff was bent up and out of shape. I called and complained, they sent a replacement in a yellow mailer which was worse than the moff sent in the box. BE CAREFUL

Picked up darth malgus, vader and starkiller at TRU. Seems I have to fight this one guy for first pick of new figures. Looks like he shows up at opening of the store every time I decide to look for a new purchase. Anyway, I got what I was looking for; just waiting for the ewok and pilot set to arrive.

I found the new Battle Packs at Target today.. picked up the Luke / Boba Fett set...

I really dig the Boba Fett figure in that pack, as well as Bespin Luke.  I've contemplated picking up that set, but so far, I've held off.

Picked up the special action set from Target today (villain set). I didn't know snaggletooth was such a big deal.

I absolutely love the new Snags fig.  And again, I really dig the Boba Fett fig because of the newer "better" paint job.  And seriously, can you ever have too many Tuskens?  Solid 3-pack IMO.
.

I was going to get the Luke, boba battle pack, but those figures have no articulation whatsoever. I was disappointed yet again. Just like I was with the MH battle pack with solo, chewie and 3PO. No disrespect, but I think they're a huge waste of money
