I'm not trying to bust you balls I'm generally curious, how would they do a Bespin Han different from this:

He was hiding behind Lando's giant cape on my shelf, I forgot all about him! I'd rathr see something else for sure.

But C-3PO is $50 or more on ebay, and I would like a loose shiny version without paying that kind of coin...

Time for an optimistic thought (dream)-

June 24th reveal: Bespin luke with battle damage, leia red gown, lobot, bespin guard, Han with bespin jacket, C-3po in parts. chases: black bespin guard, ugnaught. no dx series, just a basic set with one common and one rare chase, 2 bbg per MC, one Uggie.

Kubricks / Re: Medicom Parco '13 Carded C-3PO & Salacious Crumb

It only just dawned on me that Medicom chose C-3PO and R2 because it's the 30th anniversary of ROTJ and these two are obviously ROTJ variants easy enough to put on a ROTJ card.  ;)

Good catch! I still wish they had made a little effort and done something newish- like a weequay or barada. Maybe they are part of the yet to be shown new basic set... That I am hoping exists somewhere besides my imagination...

I know Jayson loves all things Yoda, but that figure looks like the love-child product of Walter Kronkite and a green fozzie bear. Just sayin.

It would be a great opportunity for them to do the new vintage style leia or Tusken raider on a card. I would personally love to see the a repaint of the death star trooper in to death squad commander by giving him a gray uni.

But I'm still hoping this show has a new dx series or basic series in the line up. ESB is gold waiting to be mined, and I still like the idea of a single wave of figures from the clone wars.

Hey Hasbro! / Re: Questions for Hasbro?

In the grand scheme of things, Hasbro needs to keep coming up with new & good ideas that will appeal to this customers.

I think they should consider an action figure line as part of the star wars toy license  :P

sorry, I couldn't resist. I just came from the store, and there were 3 phantom menace figures and a pile of angry bird poo.

Nice grabs  Dan.  Are they much cheaper now or still holding their value?  If you ever come across another Dirty Biker please keep me in mind!

The carded figures ran $30-35 each shipped, so I think they have been dropping some (although there aren't alot of opportunities to get them).

While I think the chances of Medicom making a carded Death Sqaud commander are about zero, they are so close to having the original 12 carded I wanted to have the others just in case. All they need to do is DSC and a regular leia. While some aren't the SW card (C-3PO, and I like the vintage-esque Vader even if he is on the ESB card), it is a good looking group of figures.

I would prefer to see the dx3 tusken on the card instead of the series 2 verson, but I can live with it.

Picked up some more carded figures. Chewbacca, obi wan, han solo. Finally opened some of the box sets, so 501st and hooded maul are finally out.  It is sad looking through the old threads and seeing how long it has been since series dx4- more than a year....

It is definately very cool, and I would be down for one for sure. I've been meaning to get good pics and do catalog for myself, this would save me time and look way better!

Justin you accumulate at an unbelieveable rate! I think Rancho Justin-wan is going to be the next Star Wars destination. You may have to get a license from Disney soon....

I picked up loose Chewbacca, Han, C-3PO and Death Squad Commander yesterday from a comic shop. Now all I need are a tusken raider and R2-D2 to have the original 12. I know it is a slippery slope, but I am thinking I can stop there, or maybe go up to the 1st 21...

Kubrick prices can be all over the map- if two people want something, it can sell for quite a bit more than the one before it (looking at completed auctions that actually sold).
That being said, I would say it essentially cuts the value in half for most of them, less so for others.

Finding loose examples for comparison is tricky because there aren't a lot out there. But I've been watching auctions come and go for years, and I would say most common ones from early on (droids R2, holo Leia etc.) sell for about 1/2 of a carded version. Others I have almost never seen (transparent Han carbonite, holo yoda), so those may stick closer to 3/4. But they all definately take a hit.

If you wait it out, you may be able to find loose versions, then sell your carded ones. But you'll be competing with me for a few of the loose ones  ;)

That seems like a pretty nice deal to me- way to go!

The rest of the armor on the Speederbike Scout also appears to have some battle wear, versus the ultra clean basic figure.

There is a green tinted spot or wash on nearly all the white armor pieces- faint on the chest, helmet, back and shoulders. Darker by the wrists and codpiece. The kneescaps even have brown painted streaks. The shoes look muddy, but of course they didn't do it to the holster so it is bright white against the brownish leg.
