That is really cool Jesse, I didn't even know they existed! I like the cute/obscure angle, and they didn't seem to have too much in the vintage days.

picked up a sealed box of dx4 at bbts for $151. Just felt like opening up some kubricks, and who knows, maybe there will be a chase?

I saw a vinyl jawa on the bay with a BIN of $100, and he is open to offers. If anyone is thinking of filling that gap, it isn't a bad price range-

I confess I've been going back through the kubrick threads reminiscing. It probably led to the box purchase.  :-\

I wonder if there wasn't some license issue with Lego/Medicom at some point. The figure sizes are pretty close. And maybe the bearbricks are safe because they are star wars version of a different toy.

I just can't fathom why Medicom would have gone more than 2 years without a series release, and only re-issues on cards. The license doesn't make them any money by itself.

Looking back at that dx4 wave and the finale picture from Justin with the kubricks in his vintage death star playset made me almost misty... It was two years ago today.   :-\

Grievous' kidnapping of Palps is already in CW 2D, and is pretty outstanding actually.  I'm kind of cool with that being the way they go with everything and not stepping on it.

I loved that episode. Grievous absolutely rocked, and the style of the animation seemed to fit Star Wars well.

I recently grabbed the Samurai Jack dvds, and hearing Aku's voice makes me think that is what Lucas was going for with Palpatine's voice in ROTS. The second episode, where Jack lands in the future with all the flying cars looks like AOTC lifted it for Coruscant.

To get back to the thread though, I started season 6 the other night and watched the first arc. I loved it, and told my daughter (now 13, who used to watch the series with me) that she had to check them out. She watched them with me last Saturday morning, and her jaw was just hanging down, she loved it. We burned through the Clovis arc that same morning, and will probably finish the rest this weekend. I know it wasn't everybody's cup of tea, but these cartoons and that toy line hit a pretty nice stride for a while.

I have the original case boxes and figure boxes, and could get you some pictures if you need them. It would take a bit of attic-digging, but it's always fun to go through!

Gotta love the Yak-face. I'm still hoping there is something left in the kubrick bucket at medicom- someday...

Ha ha nice one.

Sorry if I stole your thunder by outing your score before you got the chance to receive it ;)

No apology necessary, but sometimes I worry about jinxing myself posting about a purchase before it arrives  ;)

the AT-ST driver showed up today, between him and Owen that is the most I have spent on Star Wars toys in a very long time. I'll have some ebay bucks to burn in April...

I didn't expect to ever get this thing for less than $300, I pulled the trigger pretty quick.

Finally filled the Owen Lars gap. $350 on the bay. It had been at 400 something, and he dropped the hammerhead to 280, but I was afraid Owen wouldn't last for the next sale price and bit. Now he can hang out with floppy hat luke by the Sandcrawler.  ;D

LEGO / Re: $14,762 for a complete set

Cool stats. Going back and getting those sets now would probably cost more than double. For a kid market going away from actual toys, Lego really created a cool niche.
