The Sequel Trilogy / Re: Star Wars Episode VII

So if Obi-Wan does have a kid and she is force sensitive, what's with the dialogue between Obi and Yoda in Empire basically stating Luke or another (Leia) are their only hope?

Yeah, I can see that being a problem for some fans (and if it happens, we'll have to see how that works out)... But from a different angle, even if the kid is force-sensitive, perhaps Luke and Leia are the only hope for balancing the force.  They are Anakin's offspring so maybe the love of a father for his children and vice-versa (yeah, after maiming one and torturing the other) can win Vader over.

Even though I managed to track Boba down at Christmas I may spring for this whole case.

Let Jayson make a custom prototype Fett for you... complete with box.

Yeah, that was Tommen, but it was a new actor to play him.

This one has the bad paint apps between the eyes too, must be an epidemic.

Congrats!  Wish I could find them in the wild.  You know, I think it may not be bad paint apps, but the EU trooper we've never seen: Unibrow-trooper.

Since Danaerys is the last Targaryen (that we know of for sure at this point), she really has the strongest claim to the throne, but does not quite have the power to take it.

And that is why Robert had assassins sent out to kill her and her unborn heir.

True... I was thinking along the lines of the Martells, who believe Myrcella is the rightful heir.

If we ignore the reality of the parentage of Cersie's children, then Tommen is the "rightful" heir to Joffrey since Joffrey did not have any offspring.

Depends... on a 'certain point of view'  ;)

I agree with Nick regarding Joff's death.  Sure, he's psychotic, but it's that lack of father-figure plus the fact he is king (and flaunts it despite grandpa telling him a king doesn't tell people he is) Joffrey has power and feels he can get away with anything without repercussion.  He felt he was untouchable.  I don't think Joffrey ever thought he would die (despite seeing many others killed around him) and when he realized he was done for, he realized how helpless he was and that scared him.

Nick, I believe it was Littlefinger

I just don't seem to recall what happens after Yunkai!  Or maybe I should just sit back and watch  ;D

I also really liked Oberyon's appearance and I really liked how uncomfortable Tyrion really was.

If you've only read up to Book 3, then there is more in the later 2 books... so keep reading.

Yes, I loved that scene between the two of them (Tyrion and Oberyn)... as well as Oberyn's scene in the brothel... It just sets the mood for what's to come.

You are probably right, Nick.  I mean that last scene that focused on Ward just watching the blood run down Hand's hand (no, no echo) and then the look afterwards.  Would this change possibly cloud the Clairvoyant's image of Ward?  It will be interesting to see how it all goes down.

I was a bit spoiled as to know there were 2 agents but didn't know who.  It became very obvious when Ward volunteered to escort Garrett to the Fridge due to it being personal and Hand allowing it.  Just the protocol would be against it: where is Ward's allegiance? If it's personal, would Garrett find himself gunned down (as Hand offered Ward)?  But Garrett/Ward being HYDRA makes sense as the SO can indoctrinate the junior agent slowly.  I guess Triplett must have been new with Garrett though it didn't feel that way, so you'd think his allegiance might be swayed as well.

I don't recall the % of SHEILD that was infiltrated by HYDRA, but it seemed quite significant.
