Glassman - these are absolutely phenominal!

Then i made casts and started painting them. THese were rough and rushed, but my next batch will be better. I just got the figures i'm putting these on today.

You're too modest man!  These look incredible, once you smooth them out a bit, they will be perfect.

I love the Clone Wars Pilot's helmet, it really looks like you just casted an existing helmet.

Thanks CHEWIE!

Luke - Super, just like Hasbro should make him.  Looks great... trouble getting the barrel roll arms to fit in the shoulder sockets?

The Barrel Roll arms actually fit perfectly, I didn't even have to dremel or anything.  The hardest part was actually swapping the Palpatine legs into the Luke Jedi's pelvis (since the Chancellor pelvis was incompatible with the Luke torso if I wanted to maintain articulation).  Still, assembly of this figure probably took about 10 minutes or so.

Jango - Did you make this for the Group Project?  I think you've made the coolest Jango Fett I've ever seen, for real!  Damn, I wish Hasbro (or me) could make one half that good.  So how did you make the shoulder pads?

 :)

Yupo, I made this specifically for the Group Project out of the myriad Jangos I have lying around  ;).  Paul (Outrider) actually reminded me about this a few weeks ago, so I decided to get to work when I had some spare time yesterday.

I think I discovered my new technique for attaching shoulder pads.  I dremeled down the Jango Fett shoulder pads until they were relatively thin.  Then I cut a small rectangle of thin black pleather that I was using for some 12" customs (it had a white cotton backing that I shaved off with my X-Acto knife).  The rectangle was about 5 mm wide by about 2cm long.  I glued half of the strip to the underside of the shoulder pad, and the other half to the top of the shoulder.  Now he retains full shoulder movement and, I think, it looks a bit more accurate.

Hope this helps!  Thanks for the comments CHEWIE  ;D

I'm fascinated by this show, however I'm a little concerned that the mass perception of child sexual abuse might focus too much on "strangers."  A vast majority of child sexual abuse is conducted by family members or family "friends," hopefully there will be some sort of show or something that will direct people to that aspect of this problem.  Of course, that probably won't result in as interesting television as "stinging" online sexual predators.

That's awesome!  Congratulations Spectre!  :D

Man, thanks for posting this:

I've been looking for that pic for a long time (my college newspaper had printed it once and I kept it, but misplaced it when I moved out).  It's funny 'cuz it's true  :P

Thanks for looking!  ;D

Oh cool, that's a great use of an otherwise ridiculous figure.  Great choice Smarty

I really like the Clone Sandtrooper.  I'm sure everybody is sick of hearing it, but I love "clean" troopers - it really shows more of the details and it is a lot harder to do.  This guy looks awesome, I love the way that you made parts of his armor black.  Does he have the sandtrooper backpack?

Trofarr looks badass as always.   8).  I'll wait for your recipe before I ask other questions  ;)

Battlefront Rebel - looks cool, but I don't really like the Scorch gun (I just don't like the design itself, it looks too awkward).  I think that if you gave him a different gun he would look a lot better.

Have you seen the new BBi WW2 figures?  They look 100x better than the 21st Century Toys figures and they have better articulation as well.

I like the Mando Scout's camo armor, it looks like it took a while to do, but it came out very well.  The parts choice is very well done, I really like the Djas Puhr legs for the Mando.

The Djas Puhr (I forget the laien species name) looks cool too, I still need to make one of these Battle-armor Jedis  :-\/  The only thing that I would do to him would be to paint his outer tunic a different color, just to add a bit more color to the figure.  Maybe a dark orange similar to his armor markings.

I never noticed the Roron Corrob before - he looks awesome!  The parts look great together, I might have to borrow this recipe for my version.

The Death Star Trooper is good too.  The grey wash definitely brings out the details.  It's good to see some more customs from you Jeff!

Great set of customs Tin_Man

I think Commander Verd should be green instead of yellow  ;)

I like the Starfighter, cool color choice.  Did you detail the R2 unit or is it just black?
You could add some blast marks to the Starfighter (you can make a black splotch with a smaller silver splotch inside to represent a blast mark).

Admiral McConnell is awesome - did you modify the Obi-Wan head?  It doesn't really look like Obi-Wan (which is good, obviously).  It's cool that his wookiee slave is missing an arm, nice touch.

Aat'nro is awesome!  I love the parts choice and paint apps and the use of the kilt is really cool.  Great figure, he fits right in with a Huttese court!

Gardulla - Looking good so far.  The sculpting blends seamlessly with the actual figure.  I can't wait to see her finished

Weequay - friggin' cool!  He looks badass and, like Aat'nro, definitely fits in with a Huttese court.

I really like the parts choice/paint apps on the Diva.  I didn't realize Rystall's hair was removable.  Interesting and effective idea to put it on Sly Moore's head.

Man, how did I miss this Kal Skirata custom?!  It looks great - you've matched the reference pic very well.

Atin is looking good so far, what knee joints did you use?  Are they the 500th Vader knees?  The combination of parts looks very clean, nice job there.
