Watto's Junk Yard / Lined up for Star Wars, Slept Through it.
« on: May 20, 2005, 11:06 PM »
I'll eventually type out the log I kept for my three days in line, but that'll take a long while.

I got up at 5:00 am Monday morning, and headed to Indy to line up. I spent the next 67 hours without a wink of sleep. Well, 11:00 pm Wednesday evening rolled around, and the sleep deprivation finally caught up. I was so out of it, I didnt know whether or not I was awake or sleeping, completely lost touch with sense of time and space. I was GONE. I've been thoroughly drunk before, and all those combined weren't even a drop in the bucket.

Well, it got so bad, I ended up going out to my van and slept right through the movie. Yup, I slept through the premiere I waited three days in line for.

Luckily I saw it Tuesday night though ;)

Im selling all of my Star Wars Miniatures Rebel Storm figures. I have 57 of the 60 figures, plus an additional 200 miscellaneous figures, including rares.

The figures missing are 4 (Rebel Scout on Speederbike), 40 (Dewback) and 42 (Boba Fett).

I'm asking $200 for the lot.

If anyone could hook me up with some of these patches, I'd be indebted to you. Especially the Empire Strikes Back patch, and Yeah, the 'Scum badge too (dear god please dont hurt me), as well as the Midwest Garrison patch.

I so totally overlooked so many freebies: Also need the Trivial Pursuit bonus DVD, Droid Hunt badge (and cards), and the 'Scum logo pin.

Modern Classifieds / Need Black CIII Hat
« on: April 26, 2005, 09:14 PM »
I picked up the red CIII hat without thinking I had black CI and CII hats, so I'd rather have a black hat to match. As such, Im looking for one! The non-lightup variety please. I'd be happy to trade the red hat for it as well.

Star Wars Line-Athon to Benefit Rupert’s Kids
It’s like a marathon, only with a lot more standing and waiting! Starting on Sunday, May 15th, the Indy Knights, Indiana’s Star Wars fan club, along with the Bloodfin Garrison, Indiana’s Star Wars Imperial costuming club, will be teaming up with Rupert’s Kids to line up for the premiere of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, on May 19th. For 75+ hours, we will camp out in front of the Greenwood AMC Park 14 to raise money for Rupert’s Kids. The lineup is just like a marathon: participants are seeking out pledges for their participation, either per hour, or a one-time donation. Rupert’s Kids will have one staff member lining up to help raise money, and we would appreciate it if you would sponsor him! If you would like to make an hourly pledge, or a one time donation, please email us at with “Star Wars Lineup Pledge” in the subject line.

Here are just a few examples of possible donations:
One time amount: Any
$.10 per hour, 75 hours: $7.50
$.50 per hour, 75 hours: $37.50
$1.00 per hour, 75 hours: $75.00
$10.00 per hour, 75 hours: $750.00

Other Collectibles / California State Star Wars Lotto Tickets
« on: April 14, 2005, 02:08 PM »
Good ol Cali has 12 different Star Wars lottery tickets out, two per movie. Can any of you fine Californians on the board hook me up?  ;D

I figured I'd start this to help the guys that can't be at CIII, or go to CIII and end up not being able to get an exclusive they're after.

Im going to pick up extras whenever I can, and want to be able to help out my JD friends. So post whether or not you'll be at CIII (and how long, if you are), and what items you're going after. If I end up with extras of anything, I'll just go down the list and help out whoever I can. Similarly, I'd appreciate the assistance if I'm not able to get the exclusives I'm after.

I'll be at CIII all four days, and I'll be after these exclusive items (in order of priority):
Sandtrooper Minibust (Gentle Giant booth) *Mega-Super-Huge-Priority*
CIII Slipcased Revenge of the Sith signed novel (Del Rey booth, if it comes out)
Empire Strikes Back Sculpted Poster, Vader Helmet version (Code3 booth)
CIII Pass Set (CIII Store)
Talking Vader figure (CIII Store)

Those are my top things that I'm the most concerned about missing out on. Consider that most of these items are very low risk when it comes to getting your money back in selling them, there are plenty of collectors out there that you can hook up, without loosing any money.

I'll be on the lookout for any cool exclusives or giveaways from Burger King's booth, Masterfoods (M&Ms, Skittles), amongst others. I'll be after the CIII jacket, but dont expect any difficulty in getting it, along with pins, patches and posters from the store, which should be marginally easy to get.

If this should be somewhere else guys, feel free to move it
