The Prequel Trilogy / If only...
« on: November 20, 2003, 04:13 PM »
We can sort of work out now what happens in Episode 3, there's a damn good plot outline on this site and as well as a few others having a pretty good idea what's going to happen, who is killed and by who etc. So is there anything, or any characters you really would liked to have seen in E3.

A bit more of the clone wars would have been cool, or more after the Emperor comes to power and about the underground resistance movements that form into the rebellion come about.

The Prequel Trilogy / Who is this girl?
« on: September 8, 2003, 01:53 PM »

Last week, as OCB noted, there was a picture of a Moff that had a striking resemblance to a young Vader, coincidence? No!  They put it there for a reason, a clue possibily of what is to come in the next film.  And now what do they have?  Aurra Sing, the bounty hunter that George insisted on sticking in Episode 1 at the last moment.  I think she’ll have a role in Episode 3, no huge, but certainly influential.

“Aurra continued to kill Jedi as the Republic began to decay and crumble around her.”  That’s taken from the official star wars databank.  So does anyone think she’ll play a major role?  Take any big name Jedi scalps?

The Prequel Trilogy / Obi fist fights the Emperor!!!

"in Episode III. Though Fett fans would argue with me on this point, I contend that the Jango vs. Obi-Wan rumble was pretty evenly matched. Today's fisticuffs are far more one-sided, though. Obi-Wan's getting clobbered. "  "Ewan does get in a few good kicks, throws and roundhouses"

Taken from Hyperspace (p.s. if anyone has any objections about me copying and pasteing hyperspace articles please e-mail and I'll stop.)

Sounds like a lot of non-lightsabre action as well.  Do you think that it's a fight with Ani that ends up with them getting their sabres out?  Has his lightsabre been taken off him?  Is he fist fighting the emperor?

" Regarding Ian's intensity in playing Palpatine in Ep3, "Ian doesn't hold anything back."  That is a quote from, I think the a Palpy vs Obi fist fight with a bit of force lightning/throwing would be good to watch.

The Prequel Trilogy / and the title isnt....
« on: August 18, 2003, 04:37 PM »
if you go to You can check who owns a domain title. are all owned.  I suspect that all these have been brought by fans or companies looking to earn a bit of cash.  fallofthejedi and falloftherepublic are both owned by someone who looks like a fan, meaning that he’s either going to make some money, or knowing tight ol’ George, he’ll choose a different name. though is owned by a company called The Force Productions based in California.  Possible Lucus company? Check it out yourselves.  Anyone got any other pos titles that have been taken, there were lots of possibilities, i.e. that were not taken.

The Prequel Trilogy / Jedi dying in space!
« on: August 10, 2003, 08:10 AM »
This is an excert from Hyper Space "The new Jedi starfighter is designed with a removable cockpit. The oval-shaped module detaches from the frame of the ship to facilitate cockpit filming. It rests on a manually operated gimbal, providing some tilt and rocking motion for the ship. A light is mounted on a curving frame above it. The light slides along the curving track, providing a rotating light source to make it look like the cockpit spins from side to side.

This single cockpit will be used for all the Jedi starfighters seen in this film, including the vessels piloted by Anakin, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Plo Koon. Today, an ill-fated Jedi is getting blasted from the sky."

I'm guessing from this that Plo Koon dies in a space battle not a light sabre fight.  At first I wanted all the Jedi to go out with their lightsabres but a few Jedi going out in a really cool dog-fight would be brilliant.  But who's attacking them?  Droid fighters, a new alien race, Dooku or Anakin?  I'm getting excitted!!!

The Prequel Trilogy / X-Wing prototype!!!
« on: August 5, 2003, 07:18 PM »
"But this new starfighter. That's the one." If you thought the triangular shape of Obi-Wan's Jedi starfighter from Episode II was a harbinger of design sensibilities to come, wait until you see the new ship. From certain angles, it's unmistakably a precursor to an original trilogy vessel. And, bringing it all full circle, it incorporates features first seen in the toy version of the previous Jedi starfighter"

This is off Hyperspace today under the title toy box.  Maybe its a X-wing prototype or something, maybe the Republic/Empire will have Tie-fighter prototypes too.  Hopefully some clear dog-fighting will be seen.  Not literally dog fighting of course, that would be sick!

No pics as yet though, I don't have the jedi starfighter toy, anyone out there that can help me out, MisterPL you're our resident toy expert,  what's it got that the film one didn't?
