That is very upsetting to hear, Chris.  Our prayers are with you and your family.

I've been dreading winter in a way.  I drive 35-40 minutes to and from work 4 days a week.  I love snow but I don't like to drive in it.  Well, the last couple of days have been like being in a snow globe.  It snowed heavily yesterday and THANK GOD it did not stick.  It snowed today and stuck to the ground but not so much to the road which is very good.

UPDATE:

Mittens

We actually had to put this one down just recently due to old age (he was probably 15 years old) but also due to kidney and renal failure.  My parents had him creamated and his urn sits in the cureo cabinet where he can watch over everybody.  It was a tough thing to hear from around 3,000 miles away over the phone but I actually more or less knew it would happen eventually.

RIP Mittens

It's interesting.  You really have to watch where you put the numbers so as not to have duplicates...WOW...thanks for showing me this!!!!  I will have to see if I can get better at this...right now I am not going to time myself until I can figure it out completely.

Hmm...we have a DVR through Adelphia and as far as I know we didn't need a phone line to hook it up.  There isn't a phone jack anywhere near the TV out here in the living room so I dunno how the guy who did it hooked it up...hahaha.  I LOVE my DVR...you can record a whole season of a show , either repeats or just the new episodes...and, it takes it a lot longer to fill up than a VCR would...I think we have over 20 movies on the thing right now ...granted, I've had to delete a few if I know there is something I want to record...and, we have dual tuners so we can record 1 thing and watch something else or you can record 2 things and not watch anything at the time...pretty cool setup if you ask me :)

Federal -$982
State - haven't gotten it yet but it should be $244 which is cool because I'll use that money for our trip to Panama City Beach in May.  I can't wait!!!!!!!!

This next year ought to be interesting though, haven't had a job now for almost a year...bummer! :(

It's been an odd winter here in Maine.  Unseasonably warm in fact.  We haven't really had much snow since I moved up here in September.  We did have a white Christmas and a few little storms here and there but that was it, no real significant amount.  I know when I've been up here in the past there's been 2-3 ft of snow on the ground.

I am sort of wondering what the spring and summer are going to be like now.  Think we'll have a bad one?  Lots of storms? I hope not!!!!!

Again, Good Job T!!! :)  I love the clone helmet and the fact that is sits so well on the shockini.  :)  I have found that I like the way the shockini's are put together better than the stikfas...wait, you have to put the stikfas together and you don't the shockini's..that could be why!!!

Anyways, love it!

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Chronicles of Narnia
« on: December 12, 2005, 10:09 PM »
My fiancee and I went and saw Narnia on Saturday.  I enjoyed it and thought it followed the book exactly.  Of course I had to sit by somebody who left their cell phone on so it kept ringing and the thing that got me was she ANSWERED it!!! Anyways, then, apparently she had read the books when she was a kid but her husband (or whoever the heck she was with) hadn't so if you ever wanted to know how the movie went then just listen to her.  GRRRRR!!!

Anyways, I have the unabridged version with all 7 books starting with "The Magicians Nephew"  I haven't gotten any farther than The Lion , the Witch, and the Wardrobe as of yet but I am hoping that I can eventually....too much other stuff going on in our lives :)

If you haven't seen it, I suggest you do!

I had my tonsils out when I was just a kid (don't remember how old I was) but I coughed the scabs off so my parents thought I was bleeding to death , had to rush back to the hospital and get them cauterized.

Had my wisdom teeth taken out when I was like in my teens or so.  All 4 at one time and they had to cut 2 of them out.  OUCH!!!!

Had my gallbladder out on March 28th of this year and that was no picnic.  I hated the way I felt afterwards all blown up with gas and it was killing me in my shoulders most of all...funny that the incisions didn't hurt at all, just when I was laying down.  Weird!

Other than that, I am VERY clumsy, too...hahahaha.............fell down the stairs at work with things in my hands and managed not to break anything just severely sprain my right ankle (i broke the same one 14 years ago falling down some stairs at a friends house).  Go figure!

UPDATE --

You guys were great on giving me a list of names on what we could call him.  I talked it over with my fiance and we just couldn't decide on a name.  But, we finally did find one for him.  It's

JASPURR

Now, I know that I could have spelled it Jasper but he is always purring so I decided to add the "purr" to the end of his name.

Don't hate me for not picking any name you guys came up with.  They were all good names and if I have another cat I will probably use one of those you gave me.  THANK YOU for doing this for me, it really helped a lot.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Atlantic Basin Hurricane Season 2005
« on: September 27, 2005, 06:42 PM »
Right after Katrina, I applied at a couple of TV stations in Tennessee (Chattanooga and Nashville).  They haven't called yet, though.

Both those cities are good one's to be in.  I lived in Dalton, Georgia which was only 30 minutes from Chattanooga and I have to say that it's really a good city.  There's a lot of traffic but yet there are also a lot of places to go to entertain yourself as well as finding work.

Nashville I've been to and stayed at the Opryland Hotel which is like totally cool.  Anyways, we really didn't navigate much of the city but I also know that there has to be lots to do there and also a lot of employment as well.

I do hope that the people call you back so you can escape the paths of these terrible hurricanes.  I escaped REALLY far north to Maine....hahaha....no, that really didn't have anything to do with the hurricanes since we were fortunate enough not to get much except rain where we lived.    I moved in with my fiancee finally so that is why I am here. :)

Good Luck!!

My thoughts and prayers go out to those devastated by the most recent hurricanes.
