Well blinking eyes thankfully isn't something Hasbro can incorporate into an action figure (at least not for another 100 years? nanites do yer stuff...)  and I don't need another reason to buy a third Wicket. 

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE this figure and bought two of him (so he can wear both hoods, curse those Hasbro geniuses!!!) but man that pricepoint is hard to swallow.

The sad part is that with Justin Bieber as Luke, the movie would probably do fantastic... think of all the teenage girls who'd show up screaming... and I'd be right there along with them screaming (but at the horror, oh the horror...)

Q1: The Alpha arctrooper that comes in the comic 2-pack is amazing and I hope Hasbro continues to use this mold for future arctrooper releases (well, a softgoods kama would be nice!)  But I noticed many who complain, including myself, that the head always pops off whenever you try to remove his helmet and basically gets stuck inside there.

While Hasbro has done a great job on many removable helmet figures (the Stormtroopers, eps3 clones, DS Gunner) it does seem like the eps2 clone helmet often has problems (e.g. the Evolutions clone pilot head is too big for the helmet, and warps the helmet whenever he wears it). Maybe instead of doing removable helmets here, why not have a swappable head instead?  One head is the helmet, the other head would be the Jango head. 

Q2:  Why is it that some of your figures lately have had ridiculously wide spread legs?  We've seen this with the TAC Rebel Honor Guard, DS Trooper, VTAC Endor Leia, VTAC Snowtrooper, almost all of the Concept McQuarrie figures(!!!!) and now some of the upcoming comic 2pack figures like the Infinities Leia and Vader.  I don't understand what would prompt  Hasbro to design figures whose legs are spread so far apart almost like they were trying to do the splits. Please please just give us neutral leg stances (a wide stance should only be as wide as say the VTSC Biker Scout or RotS #41 Clonetrooper) -- I honestly have avoided buying figures like the DS Trooper (which I otherwise would army build like crazy) because of their unsatisfactory poses. 

Don't panic guys, its paint master and not production. They may addressed this before final tooling and adjusted the stance. The hot glue may be messing the stance up as well. Look at the wrist you can see its hand painted.

I don't know... look at his ankles, which seem to be fixed and have no joints. That suggests that he can only stand properly while posed in that specific pose (i.e. that's when his feet are flat against the ground).  I hope to god I am wrong because Hasbro seems to have this idiotic fixation with spread-leg poses lately and now I'm concerned they're going back to their pre-posed craptacular Saga days.  What is wrong with these guys? An otherwise great figure ruined by lousy legs again.

About modifying the figure's legs so the stance isn't nearly as wide...

I take some clear rubber bands ala what Nick mentioned, but I wrap them around the figure's hips...  But first, here's what I do to make the rubber band trick permanent.

I boil the figure ala a boil & pop in customizing...  Very simple, nothing major for customizing or anything...  I pull the figure out, and wrap a sturdy clear rubber band (one of the thicker ones works better) around the figure's legs at the hips so it secures his hips in the lower torso sockets VERY TIGHT.  This is to keep the hips from bowing outward in the next step, and it prevents the hips from loosening up then from stretching).

What I do then is take the figure who is very soft and pliable now at his limbs and such, and I push in on the figure's knees so I'm pushing the legs together.  Sometimes I use a small ajudstable clamp I have for hobbies (you can get these mini clamps at Sears for cheap if you're wondering).  I put the figure in a bowl of ICE water...  I do this all fairly quickly by the way.  He freezes in place and the plastic retains the shape...  It narrows the stance down, trust me.

It works on Jerjerrod, it worked on Endor Rebels too who have a horridly wide leg stance...  I've done it since the POTF2 days to get like my Ceremonial Luke to stand straight for instance. 

It's a thought...  It does improve the looks a lot.  My Endor Rebels are tolerable now...  well despite the ugly arms.

Hey Jesse James, thanks so much for this info. The wide stance on the DS Trooper and Honor Guard really do annoy me and I think I'm seriously going to look into following your technique above.  Do you have any pics of what your figures looked like after you narrowed the stance?  Is it in a thread somewhere?   I may try this out on an extra RotS Obi Wan Pilot if I can dig one up.... my only concern is that the ankle articulation might be screwed up if the boil and pop isn't just right.
