This is a good TV show. Holy crap, I hope that the Hound winds up being somebody's hand. I've given up hope that Jon and Dany get married; no way they can cook up the chemistry that either of them have had with others. I hope little Arya gets a kingdom and the Hound is her hand.

I'm gonna fanfic the **** out of that storyline if it doesn't really happen.

Yeah, but Theon and his sister seemed to get to Mereen pretty damn quick, so it shouldn't take long to get from Essos to Westeros and start ******* **** up with the dragons and the unsullied.

(well, since Ned got his head chopped off anyway)

Wait, he what?!  Dammit Ryan!

Yeah sorry but I am a dick who doesn't care about spoiling stuff so just so you know pretty early on in the show the guy who was Boromir in Lord of the Rings gets killed. Lots of people die in this show and there's lots of boobs and guts, too. You will probably like it even though pretty much everyone just dies, I guess.

I only started watching the show three weeks ago and finally got all caught up yesterday. I can't imagine how you guys have endured watching this from the start, with weeks between episodes and years between seasons. Jesus.

Anyway, I think it's a great show and I really enjoyed binging on the whole series. Seasons 1-4 were really good, but 5 kind of lulled, and so far 6 is just okay (relative to 1-4), but the entire series has been incredibly entertaining. Binging it like I have, Arya's development and progression as a character hasn't seemed as stunted as I imagine it would drawn out over two and a half years. She's my favorite (well, since Ned got his head chopped off anyway). Even watching through a binge marathon, Dany does a lot of the same things over and over but she's pretty cool and I can't wait until she inevitably marries Jon Snow and unites the realms. Or they both die gruesome, permanent deaths and then Tyrion becomes king. Or Margaery becomes queen. Or everybody gets killed by White Walkers. Pretty sure it will end up one of those ways.

Anyway, pretty much I'm just posting because you guys are dicks for not telling me about this show five years ago and for hogging it all to yourselves.

It was really good, but why in the hell did Baron Zemo make his own job so damn difficult? That video tape was only in Siberia? And he had to find and kill five other Winter Soldiers to find it, just so he could show it to Tony? Jesus, why not just let the Sokovia Accords do what they seemed to be doing and enjoy Cap and Iron Man ripping each other's heads off?

Seemed like a pretty overly-complicated, convoluted plot device (to say nothing about the fact that they took a pretty major super-villain and gave him a pretty pedestrian level of involvement, but I've accepted that this is the MCU and not all characters are 100% comic accurate). But damn, for a pissed-off guy to go through all that trouble when the world governments were already splitting the Avengers apart with the Accords? Why? Am I missing something?

I read all of the lousy reviews so I had pretty low expectations, but I really liked it. Way better than Man of Steel. Affleck was the bomb, yo. It was a pretty good comic book adaptation even if it wasn't a great movie.

Her name's Rey, Sprry. :)

Thanks. I wish the internet had a website or something where I could go and get up to speed on Star Wars movies.

Yeah, I think that's right. I was trying to put it in the voice of the new female, but I think it's a continuation of Leia saying "The Force...it's calling to you.  Just let it in."

Amazeballs.

******* awesome.

But what does the female voiceover say at the end (I'm assuming it's the girl whose figure comes with BB-8; I don't even know her name).  But I can't make out what she says and I've watched it about 600 times already.

I love FF, but won't bother seeing this version.  I am getting tired of the antagonistic government angle that gets too played up (works for X-Men; FF not so much).  From what I've heard and read about Trank's FF, the government locks down the team or something.  The government doesn't need to be the antagonist, much less the villain.  That's why you've got Dr. Doom.  His inclusion as little more than an undeveloped afterthought, while the FBI locks up Reed and whatever else is just stupid.

Regarding Galactus, remember that's not what Galactus really looks like; it's what our puny mortal minds are capable of conceiving him to be.

And at least he doesn't look as ridiculous as he looked back when human beings couldn't conceive of him with long sleeves and pants:

I'll lay you 10-1 you've been drinking.

Dr. Strange was name dropped in Winter Soldier, so it's going to have to take place after he's already somewhat "established" (the origin told in flashback, somewhat?  I dunno...).  In that case I can see an older actor taking on the role.  Depp would be just fine, but I love the idea of Viggo Mortensen, personally.  I'd never thought of Jared Leto as mentioned in that article, but I could totally see that as well.

Not quite sure what is meant by the tone being similar to Iron Man, though.  I just don't quite see the Sorcerer Supreme movie being such a straight up action type of show.  There has become something of a Marvel movie formula, where they feel a lot alike.  That changed with Winter Soldier, which was much more like a spy thriller, and with Dr. Strange they could take it into a whole other arena...not necessarily make it a "horror" movie, but a supernatural type thriller.  I think that'd be cool.

I don't know dick about that director, but the most troubling thing to me is the proposition that the scribes of the Alvin and the Chipmunks movies are being considered as writers.

Dr. Strange has been my absolute favorite for the last few years, and he lends himself so well to cinema...I have tons of faith in Marvel studios because even their let downs (Iron Man 3) are pretty damn good.  But if they make a Dr. Strange movie, I want it to be my favorite movie of all time.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: X-Men/Wolverine Movies

Just saw DOFP.  Then watched X1.

Hmmm.

Let me just say, I love the X-Men.  I love Marvel.  I love The Usual Suspects.

All that said, this wasn't a bad movie.

But it's totally a studio movie.

This was an $xxxmillion effort to revitalize a franchise.  Yeah, it's better than X3 or either of the Wolverine movies (the second of which I liked but didn't love).  There is no chemistry amongst the team.  The only characters that have anything together are Professor X and Magneto, and unfortunately, the McKellan/Stewart - Fassbender/McCavoy chemistry is pushed to the brink.

If you're gonna sell out and just try and give us a popcorn movie, then just give us a popcorn movie.  But to do a reboot where you use a classic story to try and throw everything plus the kitchen sink back at us?

I dunno.

Seems like Singer and 20th Century Fox compromised a lot on this.  It could have been so much more while needing to be so much less.  Just too many characters, none of whom get adequately developed.  Warpath looked cool, but we never learn much about him.  Bishop is totally gratuitous.  Havoc--one of the few characters we already know and sort of care about--comes and goes without any real substance.

That said, Fassbender as Magneto is brilliant.  He's so good.

I'll see it again I'm sure, and maybe I'll lower my expectations because I really did have high hopes and it's a really good movie. But it could have been so much more so I was kind of disappointed.
