I thought Mad Max was great ridiculous spectacle.  I can't assign the dept to it that a lot of people seem to be.  But I've never seen better giant vehicle set pieces.

It was odd how Strucker was killed unceremoniously off-screen.  Makes me wonder if that was another of the cut storylines.

The finale was absolutely awesome.  I had a total "Pulp Fiction back-seat gunshot" reaction to the axe strike.  And at so many instances there was the tension that nobody was safe.  Three or four times I thought major characters had been killed.  Edge-of-your-seat, compelling stuff.  I was really impressed.

My wife commented it was "movie-like" it was of such high quality.  They've come a long way.

I'm guessing the fish oil pills are a non-lethal way for Inhumans to arise across the globe.

I believe I read Skrulls are FF, and thus Fox.

I'm pretty sure Martin intends to get Winds of Winter out before the season premiere next year.

I plan to pick up the main Secret Wars series just to get an understanding of what happens to get everything to the unified Marvel Universe.  Seems like the Battleworld stuff will be kind of a mess in the transition.  And maybe they're having a little too much fun with it.  But hopefully it'll be decent once we get out the other end.

Another decent episode.  More consolidation of characters from the books.  And I guess we'll never see Aegon or Penny.

Whedon said in an interview that this was done so that people who saw Avengers I but have not watched AoS would not be confused.  That said, Coulson could have been there to hand over project Theta, and had a quick moment with the team with some quip about how they revived him.

I also read Whedon thought it'd be cheap for him to pop up again "here I am!" when his sacrifice was the big thing that brought the team together in the first movie.  Though I agree it's hard to believe people like Stark, Black Widow and Hawkeye wouldn't have noticed he's still alive.  Maybe they were all working for boat SHIELD instead of basement SHIELD.

I am surprised that I haven't heard any Whedon-hater complain that he put a character into the story that essentially looks at the audience and literally says "I bet you didn't see that coming" as he is killed off.  LOL.

That was a nice touch.

Also there was that slight touch of bitterness when Stark replied, "He's the leader..."

I agree the fight was entirely about "He's going to build another Ultron - we gotta stop this!"  It wasn't some fuzzy-brained Mind Gem trick.

Yeah, to make it easier for the readers, he broke 4 and 5 into North and South.  One focused only on what happened in the South, the other only focused on what happened concurrently in the North.

Yeah, there's a lot of nothing happening through a big chunk of those books.  Think all those "walking across mountains" scenes from Lord of the Rings.  Except each mile with 40 pages of details about the scenery.

Since everything so far has so wildly diverged from the books, I'm gonna call it here:  Brienne and Pod are gonna hook up.

And yeah, the Unsullied went out like punk bitches in those alleyways.

Love The Americans.  I have no clue what's going to happen now.  Crazy, brutal, intense stuff.

I watch tons of horror movies, but I don't know that I've ever flinched like I did early in the season when they were cleaning up the problem in the Afghan diplomat's hotel room.

It is LITERALLY a million-dollar car.  I'd drive around the block once, then straight to the auction block.   8)
