Vintage Kenner / Re: Latest vintage acquisition

Here's the Canadian Micro Hoth World set, which includes the Ion Cannon, Generator Attack and Wampa Cave sets.  The seller also had the Turret Defense set and included it in the sale.

I have the Bespin sets and have been wanting to add the Hoth ones for a long time!

I'd like to see Alfredsson's Sens make it further in the playoffs, but I just don't see them getting past the Pens, they're just too powerful.

12" Figures / Re: New 1/6 Vader?

$249.99.  Ouch!  But it's certainly an impressive figure with a lot of accessories and features.  I have the ANH version, but I'm still not sure if I'm going to jump on this one for the preorder on Thursday.

I'm quite excited to add this Snowtrooper to my Canadian carded collection, it is a ROTJ 65A back:

It looks pretty cool next to my Sideshow 1/6 scale Snowtrooper, I pounced on the preorder early enough to get the Exclusive version that includes the Kenner style rifle:

Those SW cards look pretty amazing, especially with those clear bubbles.  Congrats on the haul!  It sounds like the live auction is something you'll never forget.  8)

I've been enjoying reading about all of these great acquisitions!  One of the wings on my X-Wing was broken where it rotates inside the body, so I bought a scrap X-Wing and pulled apart mine to replace the damaged one.  The fix worked quite well and I enjoyed finding out how the inner mechanism worked.

Thanks Jesee.  Was that a pretty easy fix?  I have so much to do in the SW room that I haven't dedicated any time to looking into this, but I'm going to start building the vintage display in the next month and should probably start planning for this.  Did you just disassemble and figure it out or did you use some kind of reference material for the fix?  I think I can figure out myself, but am not above using a cheat sheet!

I just removed all the screws and played with it until I figured out how the wings worked, I seem to remember it being fairly straightforward.  The electronics on mine worked OK so I didn't need to tinker with that.

The Slave I looks great, I still don't have one of those, vintage or modern.

Well damn, the Bruins didn't look like they had much interest in winning tonight (I was only able to watch most of the 3rd), so the Leafs have now tied up the series after the B's were looking to be in a pretty good position at 3-1.  I was a little worried about those friggin' Leafs.

Pics like this make it hard to resist grabbing the Cantina aliens -- Red Snags, Hammerhead, Walrusman and Greedo when he comes out.

It would be nice if the packaging had a window box for display.  :-\
