Hey guys,
Thanks for the great comments.

This is the first time I have mixed GI Joe parts with Star Wars, and it seemed to work out well.

For Stark I used a GI Joe Overkill head, and ROTS Agen Kolar body with the skirt cut down, and then a good painting.

For Hoilon I used a vintage Baroness head with the glasses whittled of with an x-acto knife, Opee w/Qui-gon legs, AOTC clone pilot arms, SAGA deluxe flipping Dooku pelvis, and SAGA Luminara Undulli torso and cut down cape. Followed by a good painting.

The special ops clone is a Bacara body, CLONE WARS blue ARC kama, clone commander head, and POTF2 at-st driver's rifle. The paint i mixed with cobalt blue and gray.

The Obi-Wan is made from the separation of the twins OB-1, arms and legs from a #6 quick draw clone, saga deluxe clone on speederbike helmet, and potf2 general Lando cape. No paint.

The ARC is made from a red clone commander body with most red paint removed, kama from same figure, viewfinder and pauldron from CLONE WAS blue ARC, head left over from my SA clone pilot custom, and two POTF2 Dengar pistols cut apart. and then a good painting.

Again I'm glad that you enjoyed these and will have some more up soon.
Thanks

Jon(vader419)

Hey boys and girls.
Sorry for not posting much, I rarely have time to read and see all of your wonderful customs, let alone post my own.
But, I finally got around to finishing up a few more.
Here they are:

First one is my Chiss (Thrawn's species?) Jedi master Stark Mebwan

Here is his padawan Hoilon Seija

This one i put together from my sa bacara custom  Special ops clone

Now I know that everyone has probably made this one in one form or another.  Obi-Wan in clone gear.

And finally we have a SA Red Arc Trooper

Well, there you have it folks, any comments or critics are greatly appreciated.
Thanks for checking out my customs.

i don't post often,
but i really love your work owen and you too chewie.
how about some interlocking floor panels from places like
the death star
bespin
tattooine streets
falcon
endor
etc...

they could be 4"x4" and be a couple of mixed styles per setting

thoughts?

Customizing Tips and Tricks / Re: question?

hey chewie,
that answers one of my questions, but the main problem is paint remaining tacky after a dull coat on the "rubber" parts such as the clone commander's holster skirt and agen kolars jedi robes.

although the painting of joints will definitely be easier now
thanks for the help chewie.

Customizing Tips and Tricks / question?
« on: July 10, 2005, 12:30 PM »
hey guys,
i've been lirking the boards for a while now.
all of your customs are great, especially chewie's and darth delicious's.

anyway, i am having trouble with keeping the paint on such materials such as the skirt from the clone commander, jedi robes and such(i guess it's all of the rubber materials used on figs) from being tacky after i dull coat them.
i am using krylon matte finish on them.
i have no problem on any of the paint jobs other than the flexible parts.
i use apple barrel acrylics along with the krylon finish.

if anyone can give me some pointers it would be greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance and i will post some of my customs in the next day or two ;D
