Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Dreamweaver questions/advice

If you're using Dreamweaver mainly for HTML, I very much doubt that you'll notice any difference between MX and 8.

Again with the Flash, unless you are an advanced user there's little difference between Flash MX 2004 and Flash 8.

Also (and this is from memory) I think you get Freehand with Studio MX whereas they've removed it from Studio 8.

If in doubt, you can download the full version of Studio 8 from the Macromedia website and use it for 30 days with no restrictions. Speaking as someone who just bought Studio 8 for £650 + VAT (around $1330!), $299 seems a bargain, but I would say that it's $150 you don't need to spend...

I was at a business meeting a few weeks ago and met a guy who runs his own biometrics company with all the fingerprint scanner entry instead of keys. He said it was mainly large businesses that were using it at the minute, but it'll only be a matter of time before we can open our houses by touching a pad.

Been a hectic couple of weeks! The presentation went well and the work actually got chosen to be taken to a New Blood exhibition in London.

I just got my marks back yesterday and the project netted me a 82% which (as it was the big final degree project) pulled my overall degree mark up to a First Class Honours in Electronic Media and Design. (Yay!)

Thanks to everyone who helped with testing the project and leaving me feedback. My research mark was 80% and I'm sure I wouldn't have got it without all the help from collectors.

Cheers guys! :)

Use this link for scrollbars: http://www.bountyhuntersguild.co.uk/main.html

After the presentation, I've got a few things to add. A dynamic resizing screen is top of the list.

It's all up and running now! My deadline is Wednesday at 9.00pm to present this at university, so it was cutting it close, but I think I've got it!

I guess a few people are down to the last hour of waiting here, but there's no midnight showings near me. Gonna go tomorrow night at 9.15pm after an hour and a half all-you-can-eat in Big Lukes. Got VIP box tickets, so it's pop, licensed bar and private surround sound!

Not busy tomorrow so I could see it myself earlier, but what if it sucks...!? ;)

I hope the Scrubs DVD is out soon over here in the UK.

Based on general feedback I've added a 'quick add item' feature. It's not as detailed as the Add Item page, but it'll allow new users to add their collections quickly and easily.

Finished this today. Game was way to easy and short. On the other hand, I spent like 9 straight hours playing this :P Im such a loser.

I did exactly the same thing - wanting to see all the cut scenes was the main reason!

Got it as a leaving present from work and played it all weekend. Not only did I complete it, but I've unlocked everything. I've never done that in a game before. I'd still give it 8/10, but it could have been higher.

I'll be out of the school thing come autumn one way or the other! This is my resit, so if I get 100% or 5% it's the last chance I have!

My project is less than 2mb because it's going to be online. Photographs and the hologram images are loaded from external files rather than all loaded at the same time, so you shouldn't have a load time of more than a few seconds.

I'm still hopeful for a May 19th launch, but if there's anything you think should be in a collection software program there's still time to let me know!

Any feedback once the software is running would be great as it all goes towards the degree as research, seeing as how you guys are my target audience!

I'm hoping to have the software finished (from a certain point of view) for May 19th. I'll keep you updated.

I'm halfway through the sixth book in Stephen King's Dark Tower series. I'm enjoying it, but I'm not sure whether I would recommend it to others - it's very odd!

If it's only letting you burn to an ISO image, then your burner is set as the hard drive. You should be able to change the target burner to your CD writer fairly easily (just can't remember how off the top of my head at the minute).
