Star Wars Action Figures / Re: Female jedi - parts?
« on: April 7, 2007, 12:07 PM »
for the action stance of the second one you could use the  luminara (or was it barris or shaak)  pelvis and legs from the episode two line.  replace the torso with an adigallia or stass allie.  you could use a boy boba fett for a head...or even a POTC elizabeth swan.

i normally dont post comments here on JD...usually just come by and have an occasional peek. Anyway, i wanted to compliment you on your wokling work.  They look fantastic and very faithful to the appearance of ROTJ's wokling.
I wanted to suggest to you that you contact the guy at .
He is doing Endor diorama at C4 and would probably love to include some of your woklings in the display.

on your barabel....i'm not sure about exact reference images on seba, but for some reason, i alays pictured her having no boots...big reptillian claws instead.  I like the headsculpt, though.

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: Greivous' Cough?
« on: May 30, 2005, 11:16 PM »
actually, the important cut scene with grevious is with him lighting a big stogie...this is the reason for his cough....but they filmed him smoking the whole thing and couldn't afford to waste 40 minutes on a side plot character slowed down the pace of the movie.

i didnt get this till the third viewing, but i'd say that when palpy says "Only one has learned the secrets of eternal life"  It seemed to me that he was aware of and refering to QuiGon's  success in that endeavor.  After all, he doesnt say "Only one sith"

major speculation here....

From the easter eggs article:

go to the 2nd to last pic/caption on the right side of the page....the one about aurra sing  and palpy's mural.   read the the pic.
then come back and read the rest of this post.

First...before we can speculate anything we must decide IF the creature in that mural is a dewback or not.  I think so, a stylized version of a dewback, but dewback nonetheless.

Second...if it's not a dewback...we shut up and go home. forget it.
IF it is a dewback...then next we say...well, knowing what we know about SW universe, then the scene being depicted by the mural is very likely to be set on Tatooine.  (especially with the tan/sand/desert color of the mural)

Now this is where it gets interesting.  In relation to all of the "Anakin, who's your daddy?" talk that's been going on lately,  whether it was Palpy, Plaggy, or the Force itself.....this could be a hint as to why the chosen one ended up on tatooine.

(You could also speculate that that's why Luke was hidden from  the darkside Yoda and Dagobah's cave....add other EU quotes here, etc. ....this might be stretching it too far. )

What do you think?

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: Mustufar Beetle Things
« on: May 24, 2005, 11:07 PM »
you're talking about the guys from the trailer, right?
they are there...right before ani lands, i beleive.

cant wait to see this on dvd.... thanks all around!

this brings up an interesting a discussion that's goes round and round.
Are DVD cutscenes canon?  they're not in the film proper, but are on the dvd.

btw, bring back the OT cut scenes!!

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: Can Sith Beat Titanic?

waves hand.................................ROTS will beat Titanic at the box.

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: Zett's scene
« on: May 24, 2005, 04:41 PM »
actually, thinking more of this scene...i like it more and more.

first, i think zett is remniscent of padawan obiwan in ep.1....spinning and kicking the mess out of battle droids.

second, his death is significant and it's not just some extra shot so lucas can be a popular dad.   the  younglings represent the future of the jedi order....they die.   Zett is a little older so i wouldnt bunch him into that symbol, but i would say that his death is the death of the jedi as loyal protectors of liberty.

maybe you think i'm stretching.  just food for thought.

" I say patience."

i voted it as my fav in the poll, but before i rant on the wonders of ROTS or horrors of TPM, blah, etc.  I'll give it a little more time....spend some time away from the theater ( about a week) then probably wait for the dvd to be out before i declare a favorite.

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: Different Cuts Of The Film?
« on: May 24, 2005, 04:32 PM »
the democracy dies thing...i'd say is someone's imagination..but who knows.

the slowing of the ship....Grevous orders reverse boosters.....later on  after ani is at the helm he orders all drag flaps etc. to be opened.

The Wookiee Arcade / Re: Episode III ~ The Video Game
« on: May 24, 2005, 04:26 PM »
i'm playing the game's fun....i had the problem with the huge sabers in the library as well
not sure what to do about it.   (xbox version)

anyone  know why they didnt include all of the characters for the duel mode?  lots of the jedi are not in there and no maul, no magna guards, etc.   That's the only thing that stinks.

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: RIP :(
« on: May 24, 2005, 11:20 AM »
angry ewok,
surely you're joking about suspecting those jedi to be still alive.  They were killed on screen.   Dead.  You dont have to see a death certificate to know they're dead.  Dead.   Maul got sliced in two.  Dead.  Younglings. Dead. Mace, shocked by force lightning and fell 3 thousand stories down. Dead.  Fisto, Tinn, Kolar, sliced to bits by Palpy.  Dead.  Plo Koon blown to bits in his starfighter.  Dead.  Etc.
I mean, if you think these guys are alive then palpy is a wuss and order 66 doesnt mean anything.  You take away all of the impact if you fail to realize their death.

i agree corr,  i actually like the plagus spin a bit more, but either way i dont think palpatine cares if anakin bites on that hook or one of the others....he clearly was prepared for this encounter.
