I just got the new PJ Harvey album, Uh Huh Her last night.  I've been listening to it in stages as I have it in the car and I was running errands this morning.  So far it's pretty cool.  It harkens back to the Rid Of Me days, and has the stripped down coolness of 4-Track demos.  It takes me time to really get everything out of her records, but I think that's part of what makes them so great.

I also picked up Melissa Auf der Maur's record after sampling it at the listening station at Tower.  Pretty cool.  I haven't listened to it yet, but I'll be getting to it over the weekend.

Also, I'd love to hear some reviews on the Sonic Youth record.

Should the title read season 3?

I started spotting MLB 10 in stores today.  The lineup looks sharp, especially with so many new sculpts.  And you know what?  I didn't buy a thing!  Why?  Because I have a case that may or may not get delivered today.

PS:  Got your Nomar for you Mikey.  You need the new Schilling too?

I passed by a Hess station tonight and saw $1.97.  I nearly had to do a double take just to make sure I wasn't seeing things!

We've lost a national treasure today in Ray Charles.  I'll never think of "Georgia On My Mind" the same way again.   :(

If Honda would expand the range of their hybrod line to include a Hybrid CR-V or Element, I'm all over that.  It's taken this gas crunch for me to really get on board.

The cheapest I've been able to find recently is $1.99 a gallon.  This sucks.

Rumor has it we can all add Starship Troopers 2 to the Official Bad Movie list.

Straight to video release.  It's gotta be pretty bad.

I'm surprised I haven't seen Jet Li's "The One" on the list.  That was attrocious.

I am surprised to see 8mm on the list.  I don't think it was that bad.

I'm indifferent.  I was always a Marvel fan.

Has anyone seen a full size image of the ARC Trooper yet?  I saw an image of the ARC Trooper's head in the most recent issue of Previews.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: RIP President Reagan
« on: June 9, 2004, 10:00 PM »
It's certainly been a bit much.  Especially so since Reagan has been pretty much out of sight for over 10 years.  Writing valentines to him as much as the mainstream media is has been a bit overdone.

As for placing him on thanks.  I can't justify taking Hamilton, Jefferson or Roosevelt off of a piece of currency to make room for Reagan.  Especially since Reagan wasn't exactly our best fiscal president.  We had a big recession under him, then rampant inflation, staggering deficits, and a major stock market crash.  Too much bad economics bad karma going on there to even THINK of putting him on our money.

I will certainly offer the following:  he seemed to be a very genuine person who believed what he said.  Also, I hope his illness can bring a greater deal of awareness to the plight of those suffering from Alzheimer's disease.  Every case of a person who suffers from Alzheimer's and loses their mental faculties is a tragedy unto itself.

Actually, I think they scrapped him to make way for Vinatierri.
