I caved and finally bought the 20th Anniversary Optimus.  Thankfully it was at WalMart, so I got a decent deal.

Just got word that Amazon is shipping my first wave of VOTC, sans Luke.  I'm eager to pop these out of the bubbles!

Moore made a pretty good appearance on the Charlie Rose show last night.  I think it was the first part of a two part appearance.  I believe the other segment will air tonight.  It was a pretty good and reasonably tough interview.

Stern has gotten tired, old and bitter.  I know, I've been listening to him since the late 80's, when he was actually funny.  I got tired of listening to him kvetch about how tough his life is.  I stopped listening to him because of that.  I fully support the guy standing up to the FCC....someone has to.  But I just don't enjoy listening to him anymore.

They did set up the villians for the next several films, like Dr. Connors (Lizard), and Venom/Carnage (John Jameson brings the symbiotes from space).

Okay, this is a source of some confusion for me.  I recall the Venom symbiote/black costume originating in the Secret Wars limited series.  Granted, I quit collecting comics a couple of years later, but what gives?

So far, I've only seen lightsabers and vehicles.

Lord of the Rings.  They're pretty readily available at a variety of retailers, and they don't do exclusives.

This guy has just been tearing it up on Jeopardy.  I mean, relentlessly!  I haven't seen a show where he hasn't scored under $10K yet.

ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Dude, I nearly just wound up with Dr. Pepper all over my keyboard and my monitor!

This looks lightyears better than the AOTC Slave I ever did.  Wow!  The ESB paintjob is hot, and the modifications are notable:

-different cannons
-new blasters amidships
-more missiles
-no seismic charges

300th Fett as a pack-in?  Not bad, especially after Hasbro put that awful Gunner Station Vader in with the new Vader TIE.  This has always been a really good figure.  I can understand this one getting rehashed.

Now, I've been a loose collector for a while...but this looks tremendous in the package!  By far, it's one of the best window boxes I've ever seen Hasbro do.  I think I might just be buying two of these and I'll be retiring my POTF2 Slave I.

Short term it's going to stay there.  Long term, I'm looking to get a house to keep everything in a specific room.

If you're apartment hunting, it could be more of a help than a hindrance.  Having a place to stash your collection and whatever else while you're moving things like furniture and everything else in your life isn't necessarily a bad thing.

I move things to my storage unit when it's convenient and I'm headed in that general direction.  It's worked out really well.  However, the fact that I have a 10' x 10' storage unit nearly full, and it's mostly my toy collection is kind of frightening.

Climate contolled storage is the answer!  Just check your local yellow pages, and be sure to check the place out before you sign any kind of contract.

Teams invite like a hundred guys to camp.  I think it's a fair bet that he might get invited.  Thing is, he's going to be competing for a roster spot against guys who played Division 1 ball and were undrafted this year, veterans who've been cut by their teams, etc.  In terms of football knowledge and skills, he's definitely behind in this race.  Besides, doesn Minnesota have enough Prima Donnas in Randy Moss alone?
