Well, what is this?

I've been seriously considering selling 3-4 lines worth of old stuff that I have.  It would probably be my GI Joe, Transformers, Spuer Powers and Secret Wars stuff.  Thing is, I don't know how to go about doing it.  I abhor ePay, and I'd like to sell to someone serious who is also a collector AND is willing to pay a fair price.  It stinks.

I just ordered VOTC wave 3 through EE.  I also cancelled my wave 2 order through SWS today.

Original Trilogy Collection / Re: Anybody find OTC at retail yet?

Finally saw an OTC basic figure tonight.  Too bad it was the reissue Cantina Han.  >:(

Uh-Oh, Nick,

Better re-check your order then...

Somewhere around July 7th, most e-tailers CHANGED the case packs for waves 2 and 2.5 cases.

From EE, wave 2:
"UPDATE July 7, 2004 - Assortment Change. Lando Calrissian has been removed from this assortment by Hasbro. Please see item number HS85213B2. "

Lando got pulled and replaced with Han and Luke.

The case-pack of 2x Han, Luke, Vader, Yoda is how EE, NewForce, etc are all listing the wave 2 case now, and it has been confirmed by Cloud City, Brian's Toys, and ActionHQ all of whom got the wave 2 cases in this week.  I would assume that this will end up being the case for too since their case pack is exactly how the old EE case pack was listed.  :(

Thanks for the heads up!  I contacted SWS, and they confirmed that the case assortment had in fact been changed.  In fact, it appears that they've pulled that case assortment from their Hasbro product listings.  I hope they'll let me change my order.

Regarding TRU, they're having a hard time competing.  With who?  WalMart and Target.  Those big box stores order a lot, and they've managed to get their stock turnover down pat.  WalMart just happens to be the highest volume toy retailer in the US.  TRU may be in for a fight to hang onto their market share.

On another note, I saw this picture over at, of the Balrog prototype alongside a Gandalf the White figure, to show the scale.  This thing is going to be larger than I thought.  I'm not able to be into this line big time, but man that Balrog is tempting.

NECA actually makes that Balrog.  A completed version was featured on the most recent issue of Tomart's.

I was saddened to hear that Coors is buying Molson.  Molson was like mother's milk while I was in college.  We even used to make beer runs into Canada to buy Molson Bradour at the Canadian duty free shop.  Now I just hate to think of how the people from Coors may literally water down one of my favorite beer brands.  Drat!

Actually, they may very well be correct.  I have some sources at TRU myself, and there are pretty good TRU stores that aren't carrying some well regarded lines.  Among them are lines like Marvel Legends, Simpsons, MOTU, some McFarlane Sports Picks items...I know it seems weird, but things like this are happening.  It's got to do with what some of the buyers are doing.

Sorry HE, but I have local friends who are in line before ya!  But if they start showing up en masse, I might be able to hook you up.

Do you guys know of any nice quality, plain, Star Wars binders? Just a plain DRing binder, with Star Wars photos/artwork/logos etc on the front. I dont really want an album the obviously goes with something else (like a Topps card album), or an album with all kinds of crazy crap inside like clips and pockets and stuff (low profile inside cover pockets would be ok).

You might want to look at some closeout stores, like a National Liqidators, Odd Job, etc.  They may still be clearancing EPISODE II merchandise, and that could include things like EPISODE II binders.

I don't keep on track with the modern figures from Hasbro. I am aware they have made the OTC line and the retro line,  but I'm not sure wich figures is in those line and I probley don't know half of the Saga figures.

So what I would like to know is which vintage figure have yet to be made in the modern line, I'am aware of those, but could be wrong:

Squid head
Nikto (red version)
Klaatu (Palace Guard)
Barada ?
Bespin Security Guard
Anakin Skywalker (old)
Chief Chirpa
FX-7 ?
Rebel Soldier (brown suit) ?
General Madine

Running down your list....

Squid head - Tessek from the Power Of The Jedi line

Nikto (red version) - Jabba's Skiff Guards Cinema Scene from the Power Of The Force 2 line.

Klaatu (Palace Guard) - The Jabba's Palace version has not been done, but a Sail Barge version has.

Barada - Technically, this one hasn't been done if you're looking at the entire outfit.

Bespin Security Guard - We've got 2 modern era Bespin Security Guards, both in the Power Of The Jedi line.  One was a pack-in with the Carbon Freeze Chamber playset, and an Asian looking Bespin Security Guard was part of the POTJ Basic Figure line.  Neither matches the first issue Vintage Bespin Guard in appearance, and there's also no representation for the African-American Bespin Guard.

Anakin Skywalker (old) - Power Of The Force 2 Flashback line, and there was also a Spirit of Anakin Skywalker in the Power Of The Force 2 Jedi Spirits Cinema Scene.

Chief Chirpa - No modern version to date.

Teebo - Made in the Power Of The Jedi & SAGA lines.

Paploo - Pack-in figure with the Power Of The Jedi AT-ST with Speeder Bike set.

Lumat- No modern version to date.

Warok - No modern version to date.

Romba - No modern version to date.

FX-7 - Produced in the Power Of The Jedi line.  This is the most highly articulated figure in the modern Star Wars line.

Rebel Soldier (brown suit) - Does this refer to the Hoth Rebel Trooper?

General Madine - Part of the SAGA & Original Trilogy Collection basic figure lines.
