Are there any pictures or descriptions of the vintage styled vehicle packaging?

Not yet.  Hasbro said that they would be revealing imagery of the vintage style packaging in an upcoming Star Wars Insider.  That article should be in Insider #118 which should be on newstands next month.

The Vintage Collection / Re: 2010 "Vintage" Basic Figure Line

So is there a "street date" for this stuff or will it start leaking out early in late July?  Good thing we got all those comic packs and the TRU stuff, but I honestly can't remember this large of a gap at retail....well maybe that stint with Saga1 back in the day.

No firm street date.  But Hasbro did state in the most recent Q&A that figures should start showing up in the U.S. on or around August 1st.

How about Sim Aloo Scott?  It's been pretty clear that even Hasbro recognizes that they have not made that particular Imperial Dignitary.  Especially considering the "class picture" of the dignitaries it's clear that the two that were made are not the same individual as the vintage figure.

Collect All 92! / Re: Luke Skywalker (Hoth Battle Gear)

This was probably one of the cooler vintage figures I can recall.  And I really liked how this as well as the Hoth Han worked in conjunction with the tauntaun.

As for the modern versions?  The Saga Gold version was cool.  Especially with the ice cave pieces.  But compared with other well articulated figures it's woefully inadequate.  I'd like to see a new version with super articulation and some softgoods.  Ball-jointed hips would be a must so that this figure could sit properly on a new tauntaun.

Not sure where to get these:

Also coming in March from Ensky is a nifty set of R2 magnets, previously offered at last year's Celebration Japan with the exception of R2-Q5 -- that's the black one -- which has been added to the set for this new offering.

Artbox was selling those at their booth at last year's San Diego Comic Con.  I had to wait until the last day of the show to actually get these because they kept on selling out.

The Legacy Collection / Re: Funeral Pyre Vader w/ Luke
« on: June 5, 2010, 04:55 PM »
Things are starting to not look so good for funeral pyre Darth Vader.  It would almost have to be an online exclusive based on what the major retailers have been doing.  But as seen in some of the conversation in this thread, that's seeming less and less likely.

It's certainly a better likeness than the Evolutions Darth Sidious.  He definitely looks maniacal!  But the photos still don't give you a good picture of the articulation.  Still, a prior Q&A session said that this Sidious would be pretty well articulated.  And considering the fact that he's got all of these softgoods we should expect that much.

I finally received mine in the mail today.  It certainly took a while.

So why isn't the Mando trooper in bold?  There's a listing for both the Mando guard AND a Mando Trooper.  So I guess Pre Viszla will actually get some troops!

Lately I've been hitting the trails near my home for some hikes.  Getting outside and enjoying some fresh air and sunshine makes the whole process a good deal more enjoyable.

Exactly what Yoda with hoverchair are we getting? I don't recall ever seeing this figure - is it the 2003 CW Yoda with that floating thingy??

It's probably this one which also included the Nikto youngling Chian.

Very cool to see the results revised.  The new Yakface spy report looked EXTREMELY credible.

But here's a question regarding Captain Fordo:  did voters for Fordo specify if they wanted him in the phase 1 armor as shown, or the phase 2 armor that's seen in the battle of Coruscant?  Because in effect we got a movie style phase 1 armor Fordo in the Hunt for Grievous Battle Pack, but the phase 2 armor has not been made.

100% REPACKS = Sandtrooper, Obi-Wan, Cody, Clone

Not that I doubt you, but where was it confirmed that the Clone Trooper was a repack? The clone looks different to me for some reason, and it's surprising that the same SL/ROTS picture that has been used for the last 5 years or so wasn't used again here.

The Episode III Clone Trooper was confirmed as a Greatest Hits offering in THIS RS Q&A SESSION.  The official photography (at least in the Brian's Toys listing) was a little washed out, so it's tough to make out all of the details on that one.

Looking over the past year+ of Hasbro's Star Wars Q&A's I'm really surprised that they let as much get out about this wave as they did.  At some point almost every one of these ROTJ figures was mentioned or confirmed via the Q&A's.

The only figure on this list that really comes as a bit of a surprise is the Princess Kneesa that's packed with Wicket.  And even then, Hasbro hinted pretty heavily at a new Wicket.  I had actually been thinking that with the move to the vintage style cards that we should expect a single packed Wicket.  But this is actually something of a pleasant surprise.  But I also suspect that this might be one of the only nods to the Ewoks animated series that we might see.

As for the AT-ST Driver that was also confirmed in the Q&A process?  I get the feeling that it's bound for one of a couple of places:  an unthemed wave in 2011, or as a pack-in with a Hoth version of the AT-ST.
