Wow, Rebel Pilots Evolutions is at TJ Maxx?  I'm seriously tempted!

Tremendous work!

I think that PROXY is pretty much a lock.  And I also think that Kazdan Paratus is pretty likely, too.  He's an Aleena, and I could see Hasbro retooling Tsui Choi into a Kazdan Paratus figure.

I would also expect some troopers, too.  Especially since Hasbro has stated that packs like these are going to depend significantly on existing tools.

As for Galen Marek?  I think we're going to see figures that are similar to the Evolutions offering, but with a new headsculpt that's more like the actor whose likeness was the final template for the Secret Apprentice.

TV-9D9 / Re: Star Wars on Spike TV
« on: December 23, 2009, 04:05 PM »
That 120 Hz refresh rate is intended for things like sports.  But it totally kills a movie's cinematic feel.  Largely because the image is refreshed far more often than the film frame rate of 24 fps.  It's one thing that I find very unappealing about flatscreen tv's.  I have heard that some flatscreens have menu settings that let you adjust that refresh rate to better suit movies, but I have not seen it in person yet.

And as a point of interest, Spike is running a PT marathon today and the OT tomorrow.

I found these two weeks ago, but the BAD parts had been pulled from all six figures.  Couldn't believe it.   Found them again, all intact.

I can.  There's a little cottage industry on eBay that's propogated by these thieves.  They rip off the BAD parts and sell the droid complete online.  And whoever finds the actual figure at retail sans BAD parts is just SOL.

The likeness looks significantly truer to the game than the carded release from the 30AC line.  Well played, Hasbro.

Umm, WTF do all those Hasbro employees plan to do for the first part of 2009? Sit around and play Tetris? Are you guys putting ANYTHING out?

Iron Man.

Do you mean Karen Carpenter?

I've seen far more of this wave than the ROTJ or TPM waves, that's for sure.

Hey Hasbro! / Re: Manta Droid Subfighter.

The first couple of images actually make it look okay.  It really looks quite a bit like the front end of an AAT.

BTW, where has RuneHaako been?  He's been MIA for some time now.

The site was a little slow but I got my order in.  Thankfully they're offering the flex pay on the throne.

The Legacy Collection / Re: More from TFU - Rumors/Speculation

Actually, in a recent Q&A response Hasbro stated that the new TFU sets would NOT be themed around the Ultimate Sith Edition.  But they said nothing about TFU2.

The Legacy Collection / Re: Toyfare 2009 Fan's Choice Voting
« on: December 15, 2009, 01:01 AM »
So is the official count over?

The polls are definitely closed.  I think we're likely to see the results published in the next issue of Toyfare to hit the stands.  That should be issue #153, IIRC.

PROXY seems to be the most likely candidate, and I think they may do a Kazdan Paratus.
