Star Wars Universe / Re: Why didn't Vader Clone Padme
« on: May 19, 2006, 03:53 PM »
first of all, why not just clone Anakin some new limbs?  They may need some replacing if i'm to understand correctly with the whole aging faster i take it the limbs would where out sooner then the rest of his body.  Couldn't he at least use some skin grafts from a cloned body.  or at least some synthflesh after all ESB luke had some fake skin on his new hand.  this topic is about cloning padme, which i kind of thought about myself, do you really think it out of character for him?  this is the guy that went on a killing spree in order to become strong enough in the darkside to save her from death.  he killed children, friends, people that were basically his family, including trying to kill the man that raised him and was a father/brother to him.  now this sounds like a man a little obcessed, does it not.  look how warped his thinking is.  even if she doesn't have her memories and really essentially isn't Padme, his thinking process would probably tell him it's better then not having her at all.  Or at least clone the child within her womb and just let it grow naturally.

Saga Collection '06 / Re: Battle of Tatooine Wave
« on: May 19, 2006, 01:32 PM »
ya really i've still have yet to see  a Cody on the pegs, and have only just last week got a firefighter.  although i want this tatooine wave probably more then any of the others that have come out so far i could really use a break w/all the exclusives that've come out lately.  P.S. sandtrooper ROCKS.

great pics Greg, that luke kicks  :-X and your set up with Fett is wonderful.  but through no fault off your own what's up with luke's facial expression?  he looks like he just walked in on Han & Leia getting busy or something.

Hey SA are you sure he's dozing?  It kinda looks to me like he's trying to get at an itch in real bad spot. ;D

That takes it I've been to 2 different Targets both doing the same thing w/the different pricing of $6.99 & $5.89.  AMEN Phruby.

936
why when i went to Target on friday I saw some of these again but they scanned at $6.99 while the other waves they had on the pegs were $5.89?  There was even 2 different peg tags where they were hanging.  Anybody else seeing this?  Are we being set up for another price hike?

;D i love JD and the members, and staff, here great ideas all around lots of useful info.  i hope to try some of these suggestions as soon as i can.  depending on how strong these magnets are and where you position them on a grevious maybe you could get him in that 6 legged positon when he's "running" over to the wheel bike.

Rup/Greg thanx a lot, i knew if i posted this question here i'd get some great help.  I was think along the lines of a very small ball bearing and the small magnets to give grevious the articultion he deserves.  maybe in the pelvic, elbows, and shoulders.  i'm thinking hasbro' s knee artic. on him is good enough.  let me know what you guys think.  and if anybody else wants to use the idea feel free b/c with the back up of WIP's i got going on i don't know when i'd even get started.

Ala Saga Tusken Raider I'm assuming?  sounds like a perfect idea for a certian Count.

Star Wars Action Figures / HELP
« on: May 11, 2006, 01:40 PM »
Need help finding something for a custom SA G Grevious.  I've looked at both Micheals and Home Depot.  Does anybody know where I can find magnets about the size of the ones used in the 1st Saga line for Obi/Vader/Bespin Luke hands?
Also I've been wanting to remove the "paint/sh :-Xt" from my Evo sandtrooper along with the "dust" from my VTSC scoutrooper's boots.  What besides a repaint would be the best way to remove it?  I've heard of using goo off but that it possibly might melt the fig if left on too long.  As always thanx for the look out.

muuuch better.  i wasn't a big fan of the solar panels.  this fits a lot better with the clone tech.

Patience you must have.  ;)

(Vader) NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!  :'( What a terrible loss, for now, of probably the best of us.  You've been a great addition to our hobby and seeing your updates will be missed, but what a great addition to the Armed Forces though, good luck God's speed, and come back whenever you can.

damn me not having a digital camera.  I actually did the same thing to my Evo Vader, i just "burned" him more then Hasbro's version.  Great Anakin.  I've tried something along this line with mine to give him better elbow articulation.  can you still twist/turn the gloved part of the arm or did you have to permanately glue it on?
